If black lives matter, then why … ?

“The most dangerous place for an African-American is the womb.” – Pastor Cleland Childress Jr.

Former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin posted a provocative graphic on Facebook in response to the recent videos revealing Planned Parenthood officials openly discussing the price of fetal body parts taken during abortions.

PP1The graphic, shown at left, asks, “Which symbol killed 90,000 black babies last year?” It shows the Confederate flag, which was again tied to black deaths after the Charleston, South Carolina church shooting, and the Planned Parenthood logo, best known for its abortion advocacy.

Palin hopes to reignite efforts to defund Planned Parenthood in Congress and at the State level. Seventy-eight percent of Planned Parenthood abortion clinics are placed in low-income minority neighborhoods, according to data from the 2010 Census reported by LifeNews.

But it isn’t only the white “Momma Grizzly” from Alaska who is bringing this issue forward. Black Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson, who has extensive medical experience as a pediatric neurosurgeon, has spoken clearly on abortion in the black community.

“The most dangerous place for an African-American is in the womb,” said Pastor Cleland Childress Jr., of BlackGenocide.org. He reports that while blacks make up 13 percent of the U.S. population, black women have some 30 percent of the abortions. A black baby is five times more likely to be killed in the womb than a white baby.

African-American Outreach reports that some 1,700 African-American children are killed by abortion every day, and every week more black babies are killed by abortion than all those killed in the Viet Nam War

So, I ask you – if black lives matter, then why ….?

It all started with the demonstrations in Ferguson, Missouri, where they carried signs with the words “black lives matter,” following the police shooting of Michael Brown, the young black man who had just robbed a convenience store and failed to adhere to the policeman’s orders.   Now, the signs appear at every black shooting.

Former Maryland governor and Democrat presidential candidate Martin O’Malley got booed off the stage at a Netroots Nation Forum in Phoenix earlier this month when he dared to add, “white lives matter, all lives matter.” Later, he foolishly apologized for his “transgression.”

Bernie Sanders didn’t fare too well with the group either as he attempted to shift the topic to black unemployment.

Taking advantage of their missteps, opportunist Hillary Clinton, through her black outreach director, is committed to developing real policy solutions to address black concerns. What did you expect?

If not in the womb, exactly when is it that black lives begin to matter?

Incidentally,  we taxpayers are funding Planned Parenthood to the tune of a half billion dollars a year.
