Oh, Oh, Uncle Joe … the radicals are restless … next debate in limbo … prison for Deep Staters … double standard … a 1948 election flashback … and the safety of mail-in ballots still in question

OH, OH, UNCLE JOE, the radicals on the left are laying down a marker for your campaign, according to Politico.

Black Lives Matter, organized labor, and those members of the House “Squad,” have their own plan for 2021, called the “People’s Charter” of the Working Families Party.  What happened to the Democrat Party?  They’re the radicals who like to call themselves progressives.

Their 1000-word charter calls for universal health care, a jobs program employing 16 million people, retroactive hazard pay for essential employees and reallocation of resources from policing to education and other services.

Unbelievably, they also want to give the public an ownership stake in firms that receive bailouts.  They plan to buy out gas and oil companies.

Leading the effort are the usual cast of characters – Representatives Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, Pressley and Tlaib – along with a handful of representatives from Black Lives Matter, the Sunrise Movement (climate advocacy), service employee union people, social justice advocates.  And, no doubt Sen. Bernie Sanders is also involved.

WERE YOU STILL WATCHING the Pence-Harris debate when the vice president was asked whether Trump would honor an orderly transition if he lost?  Did moderator Susan Page really believe that was a question on everyone’s mind?

When I heard Pence respond with “the Democrats themselves never honored the president’s victory from 2016,” I thought, Bingo!

THE PENCE-HARRIS DEBATE – I closed my brief account of the debate yesterday with my observation that Kamala Harris is not ready to assume the presidency, considering the frailty of Joe Biden.

Biden, who believes our nation suffers from systemic racism, was insistent that his running mate be a black woman.  That was the answer to our problem. A black woman, not the most capable woman, or most capable man.

Need he be reminded that this systemic racist nation voted the first black man to be president of the United States, and reelected him to a second term?

I have no problems with a black woman vice president or president, however, one needs to look beneath the color of her skin.  With her help, I’ve done that, during the debate and as a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.  In my mind, she doesn’t qualify for high office.

THE NEXT TRUMP-BIDEN DEBATE is up in the air after the commission has suggested a virtual debate, to which President Trump smartly refused.  If Covid-19 protection is in question, why couldn’t they use the same staging as the Pence-Harris debate with the double Plexiglas barriers? Oh, sorry, that would be too easy.

IN YESTERDAY’S POSTING, I explained that I never thought those Deep State scoundrels behind a coup of the Trump presidency would ever actually go to prison, but I certainly wanted names named and accountability referred to each with appropriate punishment and fines.

Then, while doing a bit of research, I came across Behind the Black, Robert Zimmerman’s blog about the recently declassified documents, in which he wrote, “Many people from the Obama administration should be in prison for what to me increasingly appears to be treasonable actions.”

While a handful of low-level individuals have been fired, most of us are frustrated that after nearly four years of evidence bordering on sedition, there have been no arrests, trials or convictions.  Trump’s draining of the swamp must continue with the help of Attorney General Bill Barr, who has pledged to get to the bottom of things.

DOUBLE STANDARD? – For decades, the large letters forming the name “HOLLYWOOD” have been allowed to stand.  Periodic restorations were also permitted over the years.

However, when large letters forming the name “TRUMP” were placed on private land on a hill in Sepulveda Pass near the 405 highway, California state officials moved quickly to have it taken down.  It was said to be a “visual distraction” to drivers.

The action violated the owner’s first, fourth, fifth and sixth amendment rights, according to Robert Zimmerman

FLASHBACK TO NOVEMBER 3, 1948 – I suspect only a few of my readers recall the time when the Chicago Daily Tribune, as it was previously named, published its first edition of some 150,000 copies with the erroneous headline, “DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN.”

Facing an early press time, the paper mistakenly relied on its veteran Washington correspondent and political analyst, Arthur Sear Henning, who had predicted the winner in four out of five presidential contests in the previous 20 years.

Later in the evening, after returns came in, the Tribune changed the headline in subsequent editions.

During a stop in St. Louis while returning to Washington from his home in Independence, Missouri, President Truman was given a copy of the paper and was photographed holding the Tribune up with a beaming smile on his face.

An editorial cartoon created by Margolis&Cox at Townhall Media features President Trump in a similar pose holding up a paper, Liberal Media, with the headline “BIDEN WAY AHEAD.”

STILL THINK MAIL-IN VOTING IS OKAY? – Then perhaps you haven’t heard about the arrest of a Postal Service mail carrier, who faces up to nearly six years in prison and a fine of $255,000 for allegedly dumping nearly 1,900 pieces of mail, including 100 mail-in ballots, in North Arlington and West Orange, New Jersey.

May God continue to bless the United States of America.
