In his victory speech, celebrating his historical political comeback, President-Elect Trump declared, “This will forever be remembered as the day the American people regained control of their country and promised to lead his administration in a new “golden age of America.”
“We will make America safe, strong, prosperous, powerful and free again,” he said, citing his mandate to close our border and deport bad actors, address inflation and bring down the cost of goods and services, and to “drill baby drill” our way back to energy independence.
Today, as he again takes the oath of office, I can’t help but reflect on his path to victory with its lawfare land mines designed to keep him from moving back into the Oval Office.
As I look at his official photo, I see a determined man. I know of nobody who could have, or would have, fought as long and hard for his future and his love of country, than Donald Trump. And no doubt, voters saw through the left’s tactics with a strong popular vote that included the sweep of the battleground states.
“He never gave up on the American people,” said actor Jon Voight, “and we the American people never gave up on him.”
May God bless Donald Trump and our nation as we take back our country back.
