Here’s a sample of the some of the ‘blame game’ going on in the media.
WASHINGTON POST BLAMES TRUMP, fanning the flames of division with its front-page coverage of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting bearing the headline, “Trump allies set the tone for the violence they denounce, critics say.”
The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway led a long list of individuals who slammed the Post for their “infuriating front page hint – blame Trump.” She went on to accuse the Post of “Yet another missed opportunity for major media to demonstrate their ability to cover things fairly … and at such an important time.”
Miss Otter wrote @MissOtter_01: “Major media have no intention to care to cover things fairly – their only goal is to peddle Leftist bias, propaganda & misinformation as is the wont of their owners – they have no scruples.”
Gary Tap wrote @tap_gary: “They are awful, deceptive, and push the false narratives about Trump that incite the violence themselves.”
Dennis Mitchell wrote @DennMitch: “Why would you expect the Washington Post to call for calm and just tell the story, when they can dump gas on the fire and stoke things up?!”
THE BLAME GAME CONTINUES – Regular readers of this blog will recall that I have frequently quoted Salena Zito, a true journalist who covers the so-called rust belt from the Pittsburgh area. A fellow reporter from the British paper, The Guardian, confronted her and screamed in her face near the synagogue shooting scene, blaming her for the shooting and calling her an anti-Semite. All because she is known for her grassroots interviewing of Trump supporters.
Other fellow journalists came to her with support, while the Guardian reporter (who I choose not to name) issued one of those “My apologies if you were offended” in a tweet.
COMMENTARY EDITOR John Podhoretz wrote, “We have already, mere hours after the barbarity, sunk into a nauseating discussion about how much blame to assign to the president for this unspeakable act. The obvious answer is: None. Donald Trump should be assigned no such blame, even if the shooter were the president of the Donald Trump Fan Club, because he pulled no trigger and committed no crime. Period.
SINCE THE BOMB SCARE AND THE SYNAGOGUE SHOOTING the president has condemned such violence and paid tribute to law enforcement individuals who have performed so well in the capture of two crazed individuals while addressing the young people of the Future Farmers of America and others in flyover country.
In addition, he has ordered flags to be flown at half-mast through November 7, 2018 in honor of those who lost their lives in the synagogue shooting.
KRAMERONTHERIGHT will be on the road for a week and will be back with Election Day observations.
May God bless the United States of America.
