The Week-Long Evolution of this Blog Edition

Commentary

Since the close of the DNC convention, my stack of stuff on Harris and Walz has grown, replete with embarrassing quotes that question her qualifications for president.

As I began refreshing my memory as to why I saved various documents, the job became overwhelming, causing me to rethink my intention of providing you with a clear picture of Harris, and why she would be bad for our country.… read more

More Humor from the Presidential Race

Commentary

Not since Barack Obama’s presidential run in 2008 have I read such drivel as I did earlier this week when I read Dan Balz’s analysis column on Kamala Harris in the Washington Post.

But first, three Flashbacks

You may recall reading or hearing about New York Times faux conservative columnist David Brooks’ claim in 2008 that “Obama would be a tremendous president because of the sharp crease in his pants.”… read more

President Biden will be Remembered as the ‘Elderly Man with a Poor Memory’

Commentary

Before reading the Wall Street Journal editorial board’s lead opinion piece on Monday, “Joe Biden’s Sad Presidential Legacy,” I had been thinking about the Democrat Party coup that eliminated him from the presidential race.

Of course, we all knew it was his disastrous debate performance that triggered party bigwigs – Obama, Schumer, and Pelosi – to put the pressure on him; the same people who, among others, had earlier attempted to convince us he was still sharp as a tack, representing a major coverup.… read more

It’s Time to Pull the Plug on Outlandish Radical Democrat Climate Change Spending

Commentary

“The rapidly rising federal debt will cause substantially more damage to the U.S. economy in coming years than climate change,” stated the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office on Monday.

It’s a provocative statement that should make Democrats reconsider their climate-centered agenda, and be a wake-up call to the Harris-Walz campaign. While Vice President Harris is likely to build on that of the Biden administration, she has refrained from any detailed policy discussion.… read more

A Skilled Speechwriter Has Been Taken-In by the Left

 Commentary

I once admired the wordsmithing talent of Peggy Noonan, who was a speechwriter for President Reagan, often reminding my readers of her words in the former president’s “these are the boys of Pointe du Hoc” speech during the 40th anniversary of D-Day, June 6, 1984.

“For sheer oratorical elegance,” historian Douglas Brinkley wrote, it would become “one of the most inspirational presidential speeches delivered.”read more

Along the Presidential Campaign Trail

Commentary

Who is Tim Walz?

If you stay up on the news, no doubt you’ve heard enough about this radical progressive, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, selected to be Vice President Harris’ running mate, but I thought I would pass along a few comments you may not have heard.

First, be aware that Walz truly may not have been Harris’ choice. … read more
