A Glimpse of Women in the News This Week

Commentary

I’ve been meaning to comment on Katherine Maher, CEO of NPR, since reading former editor Uri Berliner’s eye-opening piece detailing how NPR operated like a propaganda mill for leftist progressives more than an actual news outlet.

As I pulled my notes on Maher from my stack of stuff, six other stories about women in the news came to the surface. … read more

Hey … It’s the Political Season

Commentary

Believe it or not, there’s political news aside from the presidential campaigns of President Biden and former President Trump.

But their names are often woven in to non-campaign events, like the weekly polling of Rasmussen Reports, where we learned that two thirds of American voters view the situation along the southern border should be called an “invasion.”… read more

The Plan to Staff the Trump Administration and Biden’s Plan to Obstruct

Commentary

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that former President Trump, like any potential president for that matter, would be thinking about the make-up of his administration.

And it shouldn’t surprise you that the leftist media is already critical of the transition plan and began panning the process devised more than a year ago by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank.… read more

Biden Losing Rural America with his Insulting of MAGA Republicans

Commentary

Pardon me, but I’m not finished with my commentary on President Biden’s continuing insulting of Americans who want to Make America Great Again.

Referring to them with the term “MAGA” as a descriptor comes across in a derogatory way, much like a racist would use the “N” word.

“This MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that’s existed in American history, in recent American history,” Biden said in the White House on July 6, 2022, as he escalated his rhetorical attack on the Republican Party.… read more

Voter Registration Concerns and Another Look at a Potential Pre-Election Surprise

Commentary

Yesterday, I touched briefly on the concern Democrat “mucky mucks” are having over the party’s voter registration effort initiated under President Biden’s executive order directing an all-of-government approach to register voters in 2024.

It seems as though they just got around to reading the order and began to worry that boosting non-partisan voter registration could help Donald Trump.read more

Wide-Ranging Biden Executive Order on Voting Access Designed to Help Democrats, Self May be Backfiring

Commentary

While anti -Trumpers have been working to keep the former president off ballots, I find it interesting that President Biden, the self-proclaimed defender of democracy, who promotes free and fair elections, is attempting to keep his challengers, like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., off the ballot.

Over the years, those of us who watch political moves by both parties, commonly referred to as dirty tricks, especially look for what is termed an “October Surprise,” an unexpected event in the waning days of the campaigns designed to impact voters, that turns out to be not so “unexpected.” … read more

The Leftist Media has the Corner on Lying and Liars

Commentary

Last month, I wrote that it was Donald Trump’s Republican Party now, including changes at the RNC that included the resignation of Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and the naming of Michael Whatley and Lara Trump as co-chairs.

I chose not to elaborate on that change, believing that the former president, as the presumptive presidential candidate, should have his team there just as new CEOs and even football coaches often bring their own staffs.… read more
