Last year I agreed to assist a friend with the writing of his memoir as a pilot, and I’m happy to tell you that his book is about to be published.
It’s the story of Richard Hilton, whose love of flying as a youngster led to a 20-year flying career in the Air Force, including two combat tours in Vietnam. Retiring as a colonel, Richard put his aerial combat experience to work with Hughes Aircraft in weapons development.
I think you will find Richard’s story interesting, and an ideal gift to someone you know who is interested in flying; perhaps a teenager deciding on a career. It’s a 400-page book full of anecdotes and supporting photos.
If you are interested in purchasing a copy of Richard’s book, “There Are No Sundays,” write to Richard Hilton, P.O. Box 746, Universal City, TX 78148. Be sure to include your address and a remittance of $20. Proceeds from the sale of the book will go the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association, an organization that aids families of our warriors.
