I’m always pleased to note the similarity of views by respected columnists and journalists after I have provided my position here.
In my Nov. 3, post, “Regarding the debate … enough already … stop the whining,” I wrote, “Yes, CNBC showed its bias and the Republicans benefited from it. Savor it.”
This morning, the headline on an Investor’s Business Daily column written by one of my favorite commentators on issues of the day, Charles Krauthammer, read, “GOP Beat Mainstream Media, Now Let It Go.”
“They win a stunning victory over their perennial nemesis, the mainstream media – a slam dunk, rim-rattling exposure of the media bias that they have been complaining about for a half-century – and within a week, they so overplayed their hand as to dissipate whatever sympathetic advantage they gained,” he wrote.
Krauthammer continues, “Instead of quitting while they were ahead, the Republicans plunged into a week of meetings and statements, whining and complaining …”
I don’t possess Krauthammer’s writing talent or his intellectual acumen, but it makes my day when his commentary follows mine.
