President Obama appeared in the White House press room Friday morning to again talk about those who use tax loop holes to avoid paying their fair share, but he ignores the 3.3 percent of government workers who continue to fail to pay taxes owed.
Over the past six years I have been writing about the Federal employees, including those who work in the White House and Internal Revenue Service, who owe back taxes.
In 2008 is was $3 billion, and last month the IRS revealed that current Federal employees and retirees owe $3.5 billion. Postal Service workers owe the most, $344.9 million.
For years, Congress has unsuccessfully introduced legislation to penalize Federal workers with delinquent tax debts.
