My last thoughts going into the Thursday hearings.
“THERE’S NO PRESUMPTION OF INNOCENCE,” said the Democrat Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer on Tuesday, commenting on the Senate’s hearing scheduled for Thursday. Thus, Schumer, a graduate of Harvard Law, joins the other senators with law degrees, who must have been at one of those drinking and sex parties when this was part of their homework.
MORE FAKE NEWS from the media. When the GOP members of the Senate Judiciary Committee selected Rachel Mitchell, a prosecutor from Arizona’s Maricopa County to question Judge Kavanaugh and his accuser Christine Blasey Ford in the hearing, The Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin quickly tweeted: “Only this crowd of clueless white guys would pick someone from Sheriff Joe’s operation.”
In her rush to publish a scoop, Rubin not only failed to check that Mitchell and Sheriff Arpaio operated in separate Maricopa County agencies, she felt the need to insult Mitchell: “I was saying, no self-respecting lawyer would take the job of giving cover to GOP cowards. I was right.”
Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley and Republicans on the committee, have attempted to make the accuser comfortable during the hearing to the extent that they hired Mitchell to question her … not 11 “old white guys.” Proving that the GOP can’t win, Rubin now calls them “cowards.”
Are there any Democrats in the Senate who understand what they have done to this fine man and his family?
May God bless the Kavanaugh family.
