SPECIAL: The left’s effort to destroy our way of life

It’s high time that Americans confront our centers of education that are systematically propagandizing our children with their leftist ideology.

“Our nation is witnessing a merciless campaign to wipe out our history, defame our heroes, erase our values, and indoctrinate our children.”

That single line from President Trump’s Mount Rushmore speech has caused the left to go into a frenzy.  The truth hurts.

For more than three years, the left has attacked every thing President Trump has said and done, falsely accusing him of destroying our institutions, while they go about doing just that.

They demean our history and our accomplishments and pooh pooh the thought that we are an exceptional country.  They threaten the pride we take in our founding and founding fathers, the freedoms we cherish and the aspirations we pass on to our children.  Tradition has become meaningless and patriotism is sneered at along with religion.

While they blame the president for dividing the country, Democrats and their compliant media are responsible for the division with their identity politics, insisting on diversity of gender and race.

Unfortunately, our college and university professors and middle and high school teachers continue to fill our children’s heads full of this mush.  Is it any wonder that they are devoid of historical knowledge and importance?

Is it any wonder that a recent poll revealed that 63 percent of high schoolers are proud to be Americans, and just 40 percent of college students feel that way?  Fifty-eight percent of high schoolers and 35 percent of college students consider themselves patriotic.

Just 48 percent of high schoolers and 32 percent of college students say they are willing to sacrifice for their country.

And get this … 44 percent of college students are more likely to approve of the United Nations flag over the American flag.

Now, our children are being told some lives (Black) more than others by the left in support of the Black Lives Matter movement that is decivilizing our cities and seeking to incite a race war, according to John Andrews in The Federalist.  They are determined to defame and damage the United States of America.

DONOVAN NEWKIRK (The College Fix)

THERE’S HOPE, if Donovan Newkirk, a recent graduate of the University of Buffalo is any example of students who refused to accept the word of his professors that America is racist.  One can hope.

“My professors fervently insisted that the United States of America is an inherent racist country and I am one of its oppressed victims,” Newkirk wrote in The College Fix.  “I was told during college that as a so-called student of color I had to think a certain way, vote a certain way and believe certain things about my country and its duly elected officials.”

In his op-ed, Newkirk opposes hyphenated Americanism, the view that a U.S. citizen or an immigrant in the U.S. have more than one nationality, quoting President Theodore Roosevelt’s Columbus Day 1915 speech in which he spoke contemptuously about hyphenated Americanism.

“(The) BLM emphasizes the separation of the words “African” and “American,” Newkirk notes, adding that BLM advocates “only increase polarization in America and reinforces negative stereotypes about Blacks.”

If the BLM actually cared about black lives, they would support defunding of Planned Parenthood rather than police departments, and would care about Black on Black crime, according to Newkirk.

“Of course, America’s past is not perfect, and it allowed slavery like every other nation on the planet at the time,” wrote Newkirk. “America has atoned for its mistakes and continues to strive for perfection.”  He calls the idea of reparations “absurd.”

SIDEBAR NOTE: Kramerontheright only uses the term “African-American” if it is within a quote, otherwise, when appropriate, they are referred to as “Blacks.”

“Generations of students fed a steady diet of critical race theory and postcolonial gender studies – all delivered in safe spaces protected by an intolerance of dissent – poured out of college campuses in to the world, waving their white-fragility texts like little red books (of Maoism),” wrote Gerard Baker in his Wall Street Journal column, describing the cultural corrosion evident for decades.

“It won’t be enough to reassert America’s great historic virtues.  It will require weakening the power of the totalitarians on campus, ensuring fair access for all voices on tech platforms, holding to account the lawless mobs defacing and defaming the nation’s legacy,” suggests Baker.

Those professors are not only feeding our children with the leftist ideology. In addition to publishing papers, leftist newspapers frequently provide them op-ed space.

JULIAN E. ZELIZER (Princeton)

FOR EXAMPLE – Julian E. Zelizer, professor of history and public affairs at Princeton University, below the headline, “Biden and Democrats must toughen up to beat Trump,” accuses  Trump of “dipping into the toxic well of racial backlash,” and Team Trump of “smearing Biden with charges of dementia and being weak on China.”

He continued with this unbelievable rhetoric: “It’s safe to bet that Biden won’t dive in the political muck.

“Democrats have long been unwilling to accept the ugly character of modern partisanship.  The refusal to be more aggressive has constantly hurt Democrats. Why have Democrats been so timid?”

Where has Professor Zelizer been while Democrats have conducted more than three years of aggressive, some of it covert, partisan attacks on the Trump presidency?

TEACHERS, LIKE PROFESSORS, get to our children during their formative years in  middle and high school campuses, where teachers’ unions rule.

You may recall this quote from the retirement speech of the former general counsel of the National Education Association (NEA), Bob Chanin, posing the question as to why the NEA has been such an effective organization.  It deserves repeating:

“It is not because of creative ideas, it is not because of the merit of our position, it is not because we care about children, it is not because we have a vision for a great public school for every child.  NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power and we have power because there are more than 3.2 million people who are willing to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in dues each year because they believe we are the union that can most effectively represent them, the union that can protect their rights and advance their interests as education employees.

NOW CONSIDER THIS – “When we win this election, we’re going to get the support you need and the respect you deserve,” Joe Biden told the NEA while seeking their endorsement.  Citing that his wife Jill was a member, Biden said,  “you won’t just have a partner in the White House, you’ll have an NEA member in the White House.

“Teacher’s first. Put it on a bumper sticker Mr. Biden, and hope people don’t notice the corollary is that students, and especially poor and minority students come second,” wrote the Wall Street Journal editorial board.

“IF YOU’RE NOT SHOCKED, angered, and determined to turn back (the) attempts at deconstructing our country by the disciples and dupes of Marx, a hater of humanity and agent of evil, we are unworthy of our forebears’ sacrifices and our descendants’ hopes,” wrote John Andrews in The Federalist.  He earlier noted that one of the Black Lives Matter leaders boasted about being trained Marxists.

THIS MOUNT RUSHMORE FLASHBACK is provided to again prove the hypocrisy of the media. They were more than pleased to print Sen. Bernie Sanders’ thoughts when he visited the park: “It really does make one very proud to be an American.”

But during President Trump’s visit, a CNN reporter wrote of him standing “in front of a monument of two slave owners and on land wrestled away from Native Americans.”

May God continue to bless the United States of America.
