Part 2: Where’s the Outrage, America?

                                                              Commentary

In yesterday’s blog post, I wrote of the vindictive nature of President Biden, who is systematically reversing the programs of President Trump that have given us leadership in energy.  In this continuation, I discuss other reversals that are taking us backward.

As I noted, I’m certainly not advocating rioting in the streets, but I wonder just how much of President Biden’s outrageous actions we can tolerate.

Biden Bids for Global Leadership Role

While Iran’s Mullahs continue to lead chants of “death to America, the Great Satan, President Biden has decided to return to talks with the terrorist country and other world leaders that signed-on to the flawed nuclear agreement. Another step in the process of ignoring Trump’s America First agenda, with the desire of becoming a player in the global community.

WILL THE REAL JOHN KERRY PLEASE STAND UP?

Coincidentally, the Washington Times reports that John Kerry, and other former Obama Iran team members, have been colluding with Iran to undermine President Trump as far back as 2017, maybe earlier.

Kerry has said his meetings with Foreign Minister Javad Zarif were merely casual when the pair crossed paths at other international meetings.  He also claimed that had a right to as a former secretary of state.

As recent as the Democrat convention in August 2020, Kerry lied outrightly when he said that the Obama administration had “eliminated the threat of an Iran with a nuclear weapon.”

As I wrote earlier this month, Biden has also renewed our membership ($200 million) in the World Health Organization (WHO), the organization that President Trump distrusted for its connections with China.  It was the WHO that discredited Trump’s decision to cutoff travel to and from China in the early days of the pandemic, a decision that saved perhaps a million lives.  Another Biden bid for global recognition.

                                            There’s Still More

Look at what Biden is doing on our southern border. I believe Biden took particular pleasure in reversing Trump’s border policies.  With Biden’s hint of amnesty, thousands of individuals are making their way here from Central America.

To make matters worse, he has stopped the construction of the border fence, leaving gaping holes for illegals to get into Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.

I understand that there are negotiations between the U.S. Corps of Engineers on completing the fence, at least with the materials existing on site.  I understand the work could be completed for about the same amount as the termination penalties the government would have to pay the construction companies, should the construction be stopped.

HOW SMALL CAN THEY GET? – The left is still deviously attempting to find a means to keep President Trump from again moving into the White House, and are even considering a way to keep his name from any building or honor.

FLASHBACK – I found it interesting that writers to the Wall Street Journal aren’t ready to write off Donald Trump.  You may recall my February 18, 2021 review of Journal columnist William A. Galston’s piece, “The GOP Won’t Purge Trump.”

Now that the gang that couldn’t impeach straight blew its chance to cancel any possibility of President Trump pulling a Grover Cleveland act in 2024, the chasm between the old, establishment Republican guard and the Trump-transmogrified GOP base has naturally widened. – James Hyland, Beechhurst, N.Y.

Citing that all elections are competitions, where one side beats itself, another writer sees the Democrat Party doing just that:

Where all white people are accused of racism, where merit takes a back seat to ‘equity,’ where taxing and spending without restraint continues, where regulations are heaped on another, where leftist riots are condoned, where policing is vilified and ‘defunded’ and so much more.”  – Mel Vigman, Summit, N.J.

Biden’s Pay for Not Working Plan

DID YOU NOTICE how the Congressional Budget Office took the pandemic urgency out of the Democrat’s stated excuse that the big price tag of the stimulus bill was justified for “urgent pandemic-related needs?”

Not only will just nine percent go to pandemic relief, a third of the proposed funding – $700 billion – won’t be spent until 2022 or later.  And, there’s a trillion dollars of unspent previously funded money just sitting there.

While the so-called Covid-19 relief package is being billed by the Biden folks as an effort to “get America back to work,” the Wall Street Journal warns that “it will do just the opposite. We estimate that between five and eight million fewer Americans will be employed over the next six months if the bill passes.”

In addition to extending unemployment benefits, the bill provides a $3,000 child tax credit, an expansion of food stamps, rental assistance, and health benefits, along with $2,000 per-person checks.   Why go back to work when Biden will pay you not to work?

TRUMP TO SPEAK SUNDAY – Don’t forget to listen to President Trump’s address to the CPAC meeting.  It is normally covered by C-Span, but I believe Fox News Channel, along with Fox Nation, will broadcast it.

CORRECTION – A faithful reader caught an error in Part 1.  The Keystone pipeline would move 800,000 barrels, not gallons, per day.  Oops.

May God continue to bless the United States of America.
