TRUMP 47.7 – BIDEN 26.9 – That’s the comparison of viewers in millions for each president’s first address to Congress. Trump’s in 2017 and Biden’s on Wednesday.
“It’s very possible,” writes Matt Margolis at PJ Media, “that more people have seen Joe Biden’s infamous tumble (going up the stairs of Air Force One) than watched his address before Congress.”
UPCHUCK WORTHY COMMENTS about Biden’s address came from a number of leftist media representatives, but ABC’s Martha Raddatz won with this:
“He’s really trying to bring the country together. It was a make America feel good night, make America feel pride night, and trying to bring the country together.”
MSNBC’S disgraced anchor, Brian Williams, piled effusive praise saying the speech was “unspooling an ambition that was Rooseveltian in size and scope.”
In attempt not to be left out, MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace mentioned Biden’s strength of connecting with people, saying, “he talked directly to the people in the room. I’m not sure all of them are deserving, but he doesn’t care.”
NBC’s Kasie Hunt, with the exception of one word, nailed Biden’s address when she said: As the country begins to emerge from the pandemic, many saw the hopefulness (hopelessness) of Biden’s words.”
BLUE STATE HOPES DASHED – By ignoring the crisis on the border in his address, Biden ignored the Americans who live and work along the southern border in Texas and Arizona, two states Democrats say they plan to turn blue.
Residents are having their vehicles stolen, their property overrun, and their lives endangered as about a thousand illegals cross the border each day.
Arizona’s Democrat Sen. Mark Kelly, beginning to worry about his reelection chances, is breaking with Biden over his failure to attend to the border crisis.
OUR PETTY AND SPITEFUL PRESIDENT Biden’s decision to disallow fireworks at Mount Rushmore on the Fourth of July was disturbing news to South Dakotans and those who planned to travel there to celebrate the holiday.
I see it as a double-barreled retribution … against Gov. Kristi Noem, a Trump supporter, who established her own rules for her state during the pandemic, and still another vengeful attack on former President Trump, who presided over a successful all-American patriotic celebration there last year.
Noem has filed suit against the Biden administration in an effort to get a reversal on his decision. The South Dakota Democrat Party has referred to Noem’s lawsuit as a “stunt.”
AN UNHAPPY MODERATE Democrat, Rep. Cheri Bustos of Illinois, has announced that she will not seek reelection in 2022. It was Bustos who, as head of the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee, unsuccessfully generated poor results for the House in 2020. Instead of gaining ground, Democrat saw their House majority pared. She won her seat by just four points
REMEMBER BIDEN’S PLEDGE that nominations to his cabinet and other positions would look like America? After just five days on the job, Alex Oh, who became the first woman of color to lead the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s watchdog enforcement division, resigned due to potential conflicts of interest created by her previous work as a lawyer.
A problem arose over Oh’s work defending Exxon Mobil Corp in her previous role as a law firm partner. The SEC is probing Exxon Mobil over asset valuation issues.
HAVE YOU NOTICED that President Biden has been silent on the uncovering of the cozy relationship between John Kerry and Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif?
The New York Times reported that Zarif said on tape that Kerry told him Israel launched 200 air strikes against Iranian interests in Syria, and an independent translation of the audiotape commissioned by the Washington Free Beacon revealed that Zarif had no prior knowledge of the strikes before Kerry told him.
Kerry has been accused of undermining one of America’s staunchest allies, Israel, by leaking information to Iran on covert Israeli military operations, with several calls for his resignation.
On another front, we are now learning from the Daily Caller that Kerry, who has railed against fossil fuel companies, owned shares of multiple oil and gas corporations prior to joining the Biden administration, when he sold off $4.2 to $15 million in stocks.
Interestingly, he owned stock in Valero Energy Corp., ranked fifth worst emitter of greenhouse gases.
Sen. John Barrasso wants Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm’s stock ownership in Proterra, a leading producer of electric buses, batteries and charging stations, investigated.
FINALLY, PONDER THESE DEVELOPMENTS from two college campuses that reveal again that they are cesspools of anti-American thought. Taylor Marie Maloney, 20, said to be the first openly transgender and non-binary person elected student body president at Virginia Commonwealth University, has posted on social media that she hates white people and advocates for cop killing, according to the college fix.com
Meanwhile, at Stanford University, where Gabrielle Crooks is seeking reelection to the student senate, has expressed her hatred for white people, tweeting, “Yes, I think white people need to be eradicated.”
Now, more than ever … may God continue to bless the United States of America.
