WE’RE SUPPOSE TO BE PLEASED that Vice President Harris is finally going to visit the southern border, but where does she plan on visiting … El Paso … where the official border crossing is closed.
Appearing on Fox and Friends Wednesday morning, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz could hardly contain himself as he pointed out that she should be visiting the location along the Rio Grande where migrants illegally cross the river at will, some 800 miles east of El Paso. March through May apprehensions there have averaged 177,000.
Suggesting she might need a lesson in geography, Senator Cruz said that distance is the equivalent of the mileage from Chicago to Washington DC. Of course, we know she doesn’t want to be photographed watching the coyotes bringing illegals across the river. And, the only reason she’s going to the border now is because former President Trump announced his plan to visit the border on June 30.
I have no doubt that Trump will visit the Rio Grand Valley locations and will meet with the newly elected Republican mayor of McAllen, Texas, Javier Villabobos
LESS THAN A WEEK after President Biden’s national approval rating dipped below 50 percent, a Des Moines Register poll revealed that 43 percent of Iowans approve of his job, and 52 percent disapprove. Forty-three percent of Iowans approve of the job Vice President Harris is doing, while 50 percent disapprove.
POLITICAL WONKS like myself will recall Harris’ September 2019 “all in on Iowa” drive in Iowa, hoping to gain a spot among the top three Democrats seeking the nomination. By mid-November, only three percent of poll respondents considered Harris their number one pick, and on December 3, 2019 she threw in the towel. She wound up tied for 6th place with Andrew Yang and Tulsi Gabbard.
When it was all over, faced with his foolish campaign promise to select a black woman as his vice president, Biden selected Harris, a choice already proving to be a mistake.
PRESIDENT BIDEN’S SPEECH addressing the criminal wave across the nation on Wednesday, sounded like he was participating in a speed-reading contest, stumbling over names, as he rattled off his plan to reduce crime, again focusing on gun control.
Where was he when his Democrat mayors were allowing their cities to be taken over by thugs. And let’s not forget, it was Harris who supported the bail fund for rioters in Minneapolis.
MEANWHILE, Americans are concerned for their safety as evidenced by Smith & Wesson’s fourth quarter surge in sales. Sixty-seven percent from the year ago period. S&W sales went over $1 billion for the first time ever.
Now, more than ever … may God continue to bless the United States of America.
