“(When) it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is tasking place that, God willing, when it is over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels.” – President Biden
So, there you are. Appearing at a news conference in Japan, President Biden admits that high gasoline and diesel prices are just part of the plan for the left’s transition to renewables.
It has always been part of the plan to allow fossil fuel costs to rise, hoping it will wean us off fossil fuel, the life blood of our transportation needs. He has insisted that the rising prices at the pump were not due to his policies, when they are. After stopping the Keystone pipeline and slowing production permits, he blamed it on Covid and more recently on Vladimir Putin.
Biden and the Democrat Party would have you believe they’re always looking out for the “little guy,” the forgotten people of the middle class, and people of color, yet these are the people being hurt most by the gas increases. In addition to its effect on their individual transportation needs, it affects the supply of goods to our supermarkets. Higher diesel costs are passed along to consumers.
In parts of the country, the price of a gallon of gas has passed the federal minimum wage. And, I’m sure you’ve heard that inflation has consumed those increased wages. How soon will it be before individuals will find it too costly to work because of gas prices?
By suggesting the purchase of electric vehicles, Biden further reveals how out of touch he is as the average vehicle now costs in excess of $40,000 depending on the mileage between charging you are seeking, 200 or 400. Keep in mind that we taxpayers are picking up the $7,500 tax credit tab.
Rather than reversing those decisions that have interrupted our energy independence, he continues to pursue a fossil-fuel free economy unsustainable today. Fossil fuels will be needed to produce electricity generated by wind and solar.
In addition, I doubt that most Americans are aware of the other Biden administration moves to kill fossil fuels. For instance, the SEC is planning to issue a regulation designed to restrict energy company access to capital markets. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is stalling all permits for new interstate pipelines. And, the Department of Interior, headed by the first native American Indian cabinet member by the way, continues to cancel federal lease sales.
We can put a stop to much of this fanciful utopian endeavor in about 160 days by voting Republican in the midterms.
Now, more than ever … may God continue to bless the United States of America.
