Democrats Ignoring Key Advice in Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals in January 6 Investigtion

Commentary

The partisan January 6 House select committee investigating the riot at our nation’s Capitol is following Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals as expected, but they are ignoring key advice that may well backfire on them.

Adhering to Rule #13, “pick the target, freeze it, personalize it,” it’s clear that former President Trump is that individual, who they want to refer to the DOJ on criminal changes for inciting an insurrection. The Washington Post has stated that a criminal probe of Trump’s actions on January 6, are already taking place.

To understand the deep state hatred for Trump, you need to know that no former president has ever been charged with a crime in the country’s history; even in cases involving Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, where investigators suggested criminal conduct.

Following the last hearing, it was revealed that a video of the former president was edited to make him look bad, interwoven with violent images and audio while omitting the portion of his speech in which he told supporters to “peacefully and patriotically” make their voices heard.

The committee also continues to apply “ridicule,” as advised in Rule #5, while “keeping the pressure on,” as advised in Rules #8, and #10, all aimed at derailing Trump’s midterm endorsements.

However, in its effort to keep the pressure on, the committee scheduled prime time hearings for months leading up to the midterms process, they are ignoring Rule #7, in which Alinsky warns that “a tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag,” noting that one can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time.

TV viewing averaged just 13 million for the series of eight hearings, down from the 20 million viewers in the first hearing.  In the key demographic of adults 25-54, the left-leaning ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC and CNN managed to attract only about 500,000 each on June 9.  And the word is that the hearings will resume in September.

Don’t hold your breath if you are a Trump supporter awaiting the facts on the lack of National Guard protection of the Capitol, authorized by Trump prior to January 6.

Vice Chair RINO Liz Cheney wasn’t fooling anyone when she said Trump “never issued any order to deploy the National Guard to protect the Capitol.”  She knows that under the law, he cannot order the deployment of the military for use inside the United States.

He did authorize 20,000 National Guard troops for use in Washington, but the use of those troops was later rejected by Mayor Muriel Bowser and the U.S. Capitol Police, who are under the direction of Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Gen. Mark Milley was present when the president made the offer

In a January 5, 2021 letter from Mayor Bowser to representatives of the DOJ, DOD and the U.S. Army, she stated that she was mindful of the need to protect residents and visitors to the District, but “to be clear, the District of Columbia is not requesting federal law enforcement personnel and discourages any additional deployment without immediate notification to, and consultation with, MPD (Metropolitan Police Department) if such plans are underway.

“MPD is well trained and prepared to lead the enforcement, coordination and response to allow for the peaceful demonstration of First Amendment rights in the District of Columbia,” she added.  Yeah, right.

In view of the bureaucracy of the swamp of Washington DC, it isn’t surprising that the findings and conclusions of DOD actions on and before January 6, 2021 by the DOD Inspector General concluded that that actions to prepare for, and respond to, were “appropriate, supported by requirements, consistent with the DOD’s roles and responsibilities.”

I found it interesting the IG referred to the event of January 6, as a “civil disturbance.”

LAUGH OF THE DAY:  RINO Liz Cheney, vice chair of the House select committee investigating the January 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol, reiterated that she hasn’t decided whether she will run for president in 2024.

“I believe that our nation stands on the edge of an abyss and I do believe that we will all have to think very seriously about the dangers we face and the threats we face and we have to elect serious candidates,” she said, presumably thinking she is one.

She faces Harriet Hageman in the Wyoming primary on August 16, with an agenda of continuing “to fight hard to ensure Trump is never anywhere close to the Oval Office again.”

With just 103 days to the midterm elections, may God continue to bless the United States of America.
