Vice President Harris was at it again Monday night, making convoluted comments that made no sense whatsoever, during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers
Speaking about immigration and the border, she referred to the people who have fled great harm to seek refuge and decried the “political theater” being played with their lives. “Mothers with sleeping babies.”
Then, as if she had forgotten that President Biden appointed her to deal with the unprecedented surge of illegal immigrants seven months ago, she said:
I just think it’s an absolute dereliction of duty. If you see a problem, and if we agree that we need to address it, then if you’re a leader, participate in a solution, right?”
Of course, host Seth Meyers could have asked her if she was admitting her dereliction of duty, and pressed her not visiting the site of the crime, the Rio Grande River in Texas.
You can draw two conclusions from her statement. She sees the problem but believes there’s no need to address it. And she doesn’t believe she’s the leader to participate in a solution.
You may recall that Harris declared the immigrant surge the product of Central America as she sought to determine the “root cause” of their migration. Since then, migrants from more than a hundred countries have illegal crossed our border, including China, India, Pakistan and Haiti, with no comment from Harris.
She also talked about abortion and the “racial disparities” in women’s reproductive health, but spent more time talking about Biden. “He’s very thoughtful, and he’s very kind. He really is quite wonderful.”
Further, she proposed the pardoning of marijuana possession and commented about what the administration has done to lift up working families with the investment in infrastructure with the biggest investment in the climate crisis.
I think working families would prefer lower gas prices at the pump by restoring our energy independence.
Continuing to carry the water for the Biden administration, NBC referred to the Harris interview as “compelling.”
Incidentally, the rating of Late Night with Seth Meyers trails all other late-night shows.
I urge you to vote Republican to help ensure that we take control of the Senate, thereby relieving Harris of another weighty task – breaking ties.
May God continue to bless the United States of America.
