Every day, as I observe what’s going on in our country, my outrage builds.
Illegal migration is a major contributor and I continue to wonder why there is no massive outrage among Americans over the neglect at our southern border, where the Biden administration is permitting illegal human and drug trafficking, all while declaring the border is closed.
If you believe my use of the word “outrage” is too strong, and you don’t view what’s happening down there as shocking, disgraceful, scandalous, appalling or abhorrent, your liberal “couldn’t care less” blinders are fixed in place. Shame on you.
I call upon you to make your feelings known when writing or confronting your legislator. Tell them you don’t like being lied to about the border being closed. If you were among the 89.2 percent who told Rasmussen Reports that more border immigration enforcement was needed, thank you.
President Biden solemnly swore or affirmed that he would faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and to the best of his ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
However, as millions of migrants are flowing across the border and into cities throughout the nation, many of them unknown “gotaways,” President Biden is guilty of dereliction of duty by refusing to enforce the border.
Shortly after taking office, he reversed border orders established by former President Trump that had decidedly stopped the flow of unaccompanied children and family units, and reduced the number of single adults.
In doing so, Biden is facilitating a multibillion-dollar human trafficking business that translates to $18.3 billion a year for the cartels, while we are footing the bill for migrant hospital care, education and more.
Biden’s indifference to the border crisis was evidenced by his brief visit to El Paso, that had been scrubbed clean and void of migrant encampments. “It was a very productive visit,” said Democrat Rep. Veronica Escobar, obviously in denial. “We had a great conversation with the president about solutions and way to work together going forward … kind of what has been done to this point and the challenges that we have ahead.”
Later, during Biden’s visit to Mexico City, there was no mention of immigration in Mexican President Lopez Obrador’s remarks, while he flattered the U.S. president saying, “You hold the key in your hand to open and to substantially improve the relationship among all the countries of the American continent. There are many of us who haven’t stopped dreaming in this fair, fraternal, just integration among all the peoples and countries of our continent.”
“You are the first president of the United States in a very long time that has not built not even one meter of wall,” Obrador said, “and that, we thank you for that.” While in El Paso for his photo op, however, Biden walked along the wall constructed by the Trump administration during a chat with Border Patrol agents.
In his response, Biden spoke of strengthening our supply chains to make the hemisphere even more competitive and the need “to address the plague of fentanyl that has killed 100,000 Americans so far, and how we can tackle irregular migration, which I think we’re well on our way of doing.” Really?
Irregular migration … is that Biden’s new woke description of what we all recognize as illegal migration?
At the conclusion of the summit, Biden, Obrador and Canada’s Justin Trudeau underscored cooperation over economic competition in energy and emerging technologies like electric vehicles, but no shared commitment to address immigration revealed the intractability of the issue.
Rather than ordering the border wall to be completed with the materials that have been stacked along the border since he took office, and officially close the border to migration temporarily, Biden is instead proposing to ease asylum procedures.
In addition, a tent-style facility to handle 1,000 migrants has been constructed near El Paso, said to be large enough to hold 23 football fields.
The day after Biden’s visit, a bipartisan group of senators, led by Texas Republican Sen. John Cornyn and Arizona’s Democrat Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, visited El Paso when two Chinese nationals coincidentally were caught crossing the border with Chinese passports. Migrants from some 150 countries have crossed our border illegally.
Meanwhile, after welcoming migrants to New York City with open arms, we are learning of migrants trashing $500-a-night taxpayer-paid hotel rooms at the 1,300-room The Row hotel, and discarding food provided to them because it didn’t suit them. How’s that for appreciation?
Not long ago, I watched as the illegals stepped off buses in New York City to people shaking their hands and giving them goodies, including blankets and warm clothing. Some 38,000 illegals have since arrived in the Big Apple.
It’s time to speak up. To be heard.
May God continue to bless the United States of America.
