2024 Presidential Campaign Report No. 2

An Unusual Approval

Arguably one of the smartest men on Wall Street, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, not a conservative, warned Biden and Democrats against continued demonization of Trump and MAGA voters, suggesting it could backfire on them.

“I mean, really, can we just stop that stuff and actually grow up and treat other people with respect and listen to them a little bit?”

Appearing on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Dimon defended MAGA voters, saying people are voting for Trump because he was right about the economy, immigration, and China.

“I don’t like how Trump said things, but he wasn’t wrong about those critical issues. That’s why they’re voting for him.”

And Another

While the name, Nick Ayers, is not well known, the fact that as former Vice President Mike Pence’s chief of staff, he wrote in the Daily Caller, “It’s time to unite behind Trump,” is remarkable.  While Pence has frequently spoken of Trump-Pence accomplishments, he himself has not been supportive of Trump’s candidacy.

“President Donald Trump will be remembered as the man who saved democracy, not subverted it.  He has singularly withstood the unlawful assault from the very bureaucracies and institutions that interfered in not one, not two, but three national elections.

“Those who hold such extreme views of Trump should take time and ask themselves what drives their disdain.  It cannot be the results he delivered as president: world peace, cheap energy, secure borders, and fair-trade deals.”

After citing his view of the “obvious embarrassment of a massive federal entrapment designed to frame President Trump,” he noted that one message that came out of Iowa: “Americans see President Trump as the one person standing between them and a corrupt, out-of-control, and highly politicized federal government.”

The DOJ Admits Lying

This is important to note here because it relates to the 2020 presidential election win by Joe Biden.  While we unofficially knew the FBI was in possession of Hunter Biden’s laptop in 2019, the revelation came in a DOJ filing on Tuesday.

You will recall how the FBI convinced social media to censor the laptop story before the election even though the New York Post had published the story.

Biden loyalists, Tony Blinken, now Secretary of State, and former acting CIA chief Mike Morrell persuaded 51 former intelligence officers to sign their names to a letter that gave Biden debate talking points.

At least one poll found that 17 percent of Americans said they would have changed their vote had they known the laptop was real.

“Had the American public had a fair opportunity to hear the truth, Biden would have fallen short of securing the number of votes he did in the 2020 election,” said Nick Ayers.

Another Look Back at 2020

While I have previous written that I had hoped Trump would put 2020 in the rearview mirror and press ahead with his agenda should he win, The Epoch Times reports that a Heartland/Rasmussen poll revealed that 17 percent of mail-in voters admitted to voting in a state they’re no longer residents; 21 percent filling out ballots for others; 17 percent signing ballots for family members, possibly without consent, and eight percent reporting offers of “pay” or “reward” for their vote.

Lower Expectations for Haley

“If everyone that could vote in the primary comes out and votes, she’s going to win in a landslide,” New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu told ABC’s Jonathan Karl last month.

On Wednesday, however, Sununu told ABC’s Rick Kein, “We always wanted to have a strong second,” while adding, “Look, I think she could win.”

Adding to Haley’s Problems

Before she gets back home in South Carolina, where she was governor, she learned that former presidential candidate, Sen Tim Scott of South Carolina, endorsed Donald Trump.  While not surprised, she admitted it was a disappointment.

Another Bidenomics Failure

As the president touts the dubious “benefits” of Bidenomics, he won’t be mentioning that the Hertz rental car company will sell off a third of its electric fleet totaling roughly 20,000 vehicles and use the money they bring purchase more gasoline-powered vehicles.

Hertz reported higher collision and damage repair costs, along with higher depreciation.

May God continue to bless the United States of America.
