I know that a number of my readers do not like Donald Trump, and they do not want to see him back in the White House, but as a fellow in the social media recently asked, “Are you going to take your football and go home, or are you going to help defeat the Democrats?”
“America won’t survive another four years of a Democrat president. We must take back the White House.” – Editor, PJ Media
It’s that simple. Four other Republican presidential candidates – DeSantis, Scott, Ramaswamy and Burgum – have now endorsed him. Haley is finished, and although she may not endorse him, she signed the pledge to support the party’s nominee.
“I’m not going anywhere,” may have been one of Haley’s most pointed remarks during her Tuesday morning appearance on “Fox & Friends,” adding, however, “We’re going to finish this,” intending to go on to her home state of South Carolina and Super Tuesday contests no matter what happens in New Hampshire.
Frankly, I find it hard believe that she’s willing to embarrass herself by losing her home state. Trump has a lead there and S.C. Sen. Tim Scott has endorsed Trump.
While she repeatedly says that “70 percent of Americans don’t want a Trump-Biden rematch,” Trump says, it is “time for the Republican Party to come together.” To which she irreverently responds saying, “In his dreams.”
Trump’s Running Mate?
While the former president has reiterated that he has a running mate in mind, he has also pointed out that “in the history of presidential runs, a vice president has never made a difference, which is surprising.”
Haley has indicated that she isn’t interested in being vice president, but they all say that. Picking Haley would be stretch in my opinion. She has left no door open for that possibility with her record of negative remarks about Trump. Yes, I recall that Kamala Harris said Joe Biden was a racist on national television.
Interestingly, however, in a PJ Media column by Matt Margolis cited comments on Trump’s pending selection by two well-known women in the news.
Former Trump White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany, now as co-host of Fox’s “Outnumbered,” seemed to suggest that picking Haley might help him win over establishment voters and independent voters, saying “You need the independents, you need the suburban women.”
“In light of the left’s blatant abuse of the legal system (try) to imprison Trump, he will do whatever it takes to ensure victory – even if it means picking Haley as his running mate,” said Megyn Kelly, adding, “MAGA voters will get on board if Trump tells them.”
Trump will be in no hurry to select a running mate, but certainly he will have done so before the Republican National Convention set for mid-July in Milwaukee.
May God continue to bless the United States of America.
