No Hollywood Movie Scenario for Trump’s Decision to Drop the ‘The Bomb’ on Iran Nuclear Site

Commentary

With all the speculation on “the bomb,” our so-called bunker buster, being considered to destroy a key Iranian nuclear site, my thoughts drifted back to the scene from the movie, Dr. Strangelove, with its subtitle, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.

SLIM PICKENS rides nuclear bomb dropped accidentally in Dr. Strangelove.

While the plot in the 1964 award-winning Stanley Kubrick film, a political satire black comedy, is far from the serious consideration being given President Trump to finally end Iran’s decades-long plan to have the nuclear capacity to hit Israel and the United States, referred to by Iran as Little and Great Satan, it’s about a bomb.

For years, President Trump has declared that Iran cannot have a nuclear capability while previous administrations allowed Iran to develop a nuclear weapon along with a ballistic missile delivery capability. Iran has publicly threatened “death to Israel,” and “death to the United States,” with the added threat to assassinate the president and others.

For the past week, Israel has attacked several nuclear production facilities and defensive targets in Iran and have killed key military officials and, more importantly, key Iranian nuclear scientists.  However, the nuclear enrichment site at Fordow is a formidable target buried deep within a mountain,

That’s where our deep penetrating bomb comes in.  We have the bomb and the B2 bombers with the capability to deliver it on target.  With the bomber’s ability to carry two of the 3,000-pound bombs, I must assume there will be more than a single drop.

While the Hollywood movie depicts a pre-emptive strike on the Soviet Union, if the president orders the hit on Fordow, it would have to be considered a pre-emptive strike as well, as only Israel has been carrying out attacks on Iran so far.

As the “America First” president, who has been promoting peace in both the Isreal-Iran and Ukraine-Russia conflicts, with around-the-clock negotiations, the decision to hit Fordow is serious.

Extremely serious for President Trump, who while promoting peace is not interested in regime change and nation building and does not want to want another costly endless war.  He has pushed Iran for an unconditional surrender, with the safety of America on his mind.

As the placement of aerial refueling tankers have been ordered, perhaps before this edition is published, the president will have ordered the hit on Fordow.  Hopefully, his decision will end the threat of a nuclear Iran and result in a rapid moral victory for Israel and the U.S.

“For those people who say they want peace – you can’t have peace if Iran has a nuclear weapon. So for all of those wonderful people who don’t want to do anything about Iran having a nuclear weapon – that’s not peace.  – President Trump

May God continue to bless the United States of America and the airmen of the United States Air Force.
