We would like to think that after it was determined that former President Trump was not guilty of colluding with the Russians, even after an attempt to impeach him over it, that wiser people would recognize the eventual failure of fabricated hoaxes. But, no.

While a hoax can merely be something humorous, a practical joke, in political circles it is generally designed to provoke political change, often cruel, aimed to cause embarrassment.

The letter signed by those 51 former intelligence officers claiming that the e-mail content of the Hunter Biden laptop “had all the earmarks of a Russian information operation” was designed to favor the election of Joe Biden in 2020.

The latest hoax is the one Special Counsel Jack Smith has fabricated with the help of the FBI.  The release of photos of boxes stored in the ballroom and bathroom at Mar-a-Lago was designed to create an impression that they were accessible to anyone at the resort.

Like the early release of the photo of documents with cover sheets designating them as classified splayed on the floor, it was part of the hoax, a scam, to convince you that Trump carelessly handled classified material.

If you read the indictment, you will learn that the FBI actually recovered just 102 classified documents.  They wouldn’t come close to filling just one of those boxes. Will someone inform the jury of that scam?

In the Wall Street Journal’s letters to the editor column, a retired Air Force colonel was taken in with the photos, the “lack of protection of the documents and the classification system,” citing that he “takes it personally when an ex-government official trifles with our safety and lives.”  A bit of an overreach.

In that same column, a Florida resident wrote, “I think Jack Smith got it all wrong” when he cited that “We have one set of laws in this country and they apply to everyone,” reminding “everyone except Hillary Clinton.”

Another Political Hoax

During a setup interview orchestrated to deceive, President Obama went on CNN with David Axelrod, his former chief advisor and now on the network as a Democrat strategist, to criticize Sen. Tim Scott’s candidacy for president.

Asked to comment on Scott, Obama referred to a “long history of African-Americans in the Republican Party,” as he put Scott down for his uplifting rhetoric about making it as a black.  In Obama’s mind, Scott isn’t black enough, unwilling to give “an honest accounting of our past and our present.”

“Since he is such a phony, Obama assumes Tim Scott is a phony, too,” wrote Karen Townsend in Hot Air, referencing how Obama fooled voters with a phony upbeat message of “Yes, We Can and giving voters the hope and change schtick.”

White voters suffering from liberal white guilt voted for Obama, nothing changed in the White House.  Remember how he sided with Michael Brown and told us “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon Martin?

While fanning the flames of racism, he missed the opportunity to do good for race relations and make good on his promises.

Now, as one who lives a privileged life, twice elected president, and fabulously wealthy, Obama has decided to insert himself in an effort to put down a conservative black.  The man who wrote the “Audacity of Hope” has now thrown down a gauntlet of audacious disrespect.

The Climate Change Hoax

Surely, you heard the news reports of climate change causing those wildfires in Canada.  A different kind of hoax, added to that of the Biden administration’s fossil fuel emissions hoax.

“The rash of blazes, intensified by record heat in many areas, is an ominous sign of the ill effects of climate change, which is not confined to Canada.” – The Washington Post, June 3, 2023

“Canada is on track to have its most destructive wildfire season in history. Climate change-driven extreme temperatures and drought have created a tinderbox.” – CBS News, June 12, 2023

Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer quickly referred to the wildfires as “truly unprecedented” and warned of “ongoing damage caused by climate change.”

Just as he cites the need for gun control after every mass shooting, President Biden didn’t hesitate to call the Canadian fire “another stark reminder of the impacts of climate change.”

In his Wall Street Journal op-ed, “Rotten Luck, Not Climate Change,” Clifford Mass, professor of atmospheric science at the University of Washington, disappointed the climate change wackos when he wrote:

“Headlines suggested that the primary culprit was climate change, but these claims are inconsistent with peer-reviewed science, the observational record and our growing understanding of the meteorology associated with wildfire events.”

Mass noted that the fires that began on June 2, were caused by “hundreds of lightning strikes igniting vegetation dried by weeks of unusually warm weather.

The left would have you believe that climate change is taking a heavier toll on our forests when the truth is that forest fires have gone down every decade since 1900.

What we are seeing in these fires is nature’s way of telling us what happens when we ignore forest management, harvesting excess timber and clearing the forest floor of highly combustible scrub brush.  A lightning strike is often the cause of these wildfires.

Overlooking the Coconino National Forest from my balcony in 2001, I recall my concern with the undergrowth and dead trees, and the leftist environmentalists who fought forest management.

Evidence of Biden’s Age Not a Hoax

The leftist media would have you believe that all the talk of President Biden’s age, stumbles, and verbal gaffes are part of a hoax perpetrated by those of us on the right who want to see a Republican back in the White House.

“You’re some of the bravest and most inspiring people I’ve ever known,” Biden told a group of LGBTQ+ people gathered on the White House lawn for a pride event. “I see more courage in this lawn than I’ve seen in any time the recent past.”  That, after speaking to graduating cadets at the Air Force Academy.

Then, following a White House screening of the film, “Flaimin’ Hot,” actress/director Eva Longoria, had to grasp the president’s arms and step back as his hands were on her waist a bit too long.

Finally, the fact that President Biden heads a corrupt family will eventually be proven not to be a hoax.
