Democrat Weasels with TDS Come Out of the Woodwork

Commentary

With public interest dwindling on the detention and deportation of illegals and the release of Epstein documents, Democrats suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome have latched onto a couple more topics to whine about.

One is the move by Texas Republicans to redistrict the state to gain Congressional seats in largely Hispanic districts where voting has been Republican.  The other is the president’s declaration of a public safety emergency in Washington DC.

When Texas Governor Abbott called a special session to vote on redistricting and the hill country flood relief funding, the minority Democrats fled the state. Embarrassingly hypocritical, they went to Illinois, a state that represents Gerrymandering at its worst.  In several TV appearances from Illinois, they stood unashamed with Illinois Governor Pritzker as he put down the Texas effort.

Faced with the potential of a Republican gain of five House seats, a number of Democrats, already suffering from TDS, came out of the woodwork to challenge the redistricting and Trump.

HOLDER

Who better than Obama’s attorney general, Eric Holder, who conveniently sets aside his Contempt of Congress in the past to make an appearance on “Meet the Press” to say that the Texas move was “a threat to democracy?”

SCHIFF

California Sen. Adam Schiff, who has serious personal problems involving the leaking of intelligence material, felt the need to attack Trump on the Texas redistricting effort, even though his state, along with Illinois and Massachusetts are weighted in favor of Democrats.

Commenting on Trump’s interest in the Texas redistricting, TDS sufferer Schiff said, “We’ve always known Trump is a cheater.”

Hillary Clinton, with her broad record of political dirty tricks, came out to state that Trump’s effort to combat crime in Washington DC proved he was “unhinged.”

Hillary’s running mate in 2016, Virginia’s Sen. Tim Kaine, who also suffers from TDS, accused Trump of “trying to divert attention from recent inflation and jobs numbers.”  Naturally, he said he and fellow Democrats “would likely block attempts by Trump to extend the emergency coverage.”

RASKIN

Arguably the Chief Weasel in the U.S. House, Maryland’s Jamie Raskin, who led both efforts to impeach Trump, claims the move to curb crime in the Nation’s Capital is “a phony, manufactured crisis,” and vows to introduce a resolution to terminate President Trump’s emergency powers over Washington DC.  But the House is on recess.

“The president has a major political bone to pick with the people of Washington DC,” said Raskin, citing their opposition to him at every opportunity. “So this is one more chance to exact revenge.”

Never mind that the president’s Executive Order states that the declared emergency in the District of Columbia is to protect public servants, citizens, and tourists and to ensure the safe functioning of the Federal government.”

Although DC Mayor Muriel Bowser referred to Trump’s declaration as a “so-called emergency,” she appears to be cooperating with Federal authorities.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett, the new darling of the progressive left, complimented President Trump, but was too caught up in herself to realize it.

When asked by CBS’s Major Garrett about the accusations about her workplace behavior, she laughingly said, “Oh my goodness, listen, I know I have arrived honey, because as Beyonce says, ‘if they’re not talking about you then obviously you must not be doing anything,”

I ask you … who attracts more slings and arrows than Trump?

Add “Whatever” to Whine List

KIMMEL

Then there was late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who during an appearance on The Sarah Silverman Podcast, simply said, “What’s going on with Trump is as bad as you thought it was gonna be. It’s so much worse. It’s just unbelievable.”  Then added, “I feel like it’s probably worse than he would like it to be.” Specifics, Jimmy, specifics.

Kimmel probably didn’t like Trump’s remark that his show was “next to go” after the cancellation of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

President Trump is doing everything he promised to do while campaigning. It’s what got him elected.  He has accomplished more in first 200 days than Biden did in four years.

We should be happy.  While Trump lives rent free in the heads of Democrats, their problems are not getting addressed.

May God continue to bless the United States of America.
