Patience Necessary as the Wheels of Justice Turn Slowly

Commentary

While “Lady Justice” has been known to move ever so slowly, she’s getting a bit of a boost from Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is zeroing in on those usual suspects, deep staters who were part of the weaponization of the Department of Justice with a mission of stopping candidate and President Trump.

She’s not working alone. Her deputy Todd Blanche, DNI Tulsi Gabbard, and FBI Director Kash Patel have uncovered significant material that restores faith in the public documents and assumptions that have been hashed over for 10 years

Former FBI Director James “the weasel” Comey was indicted by a grand jury on two counts, alleged false statements and obstruction of a congressional proceeding.  To which Kash Patel commented, “Today, your FBI took another step in its promise of accountability.  Comey’s attorney is working to have his case dismissed before he faces trial in January.

A federal grand jury has facilitated moving ahead by issuing subpoenas to former CIA Director John Brennan, former FBI agent Peter Strzok, and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page.  To further escalate the investigation into the origins of the 2016 Trump-Russia hoax, U.S. Attorney Jason Reding Quinones and officials in Washington DC and Miami are preparing to issue up to 30 additional subpoenas soon.

Last month, Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan formally referred Brennan to the DOJ for criminal prosecution for knowingly making false statements during his 2013 congressional hearing regarding the discredited Steele dossier.

Gabbard earlier released a document that revealed the Strzok played a central role in advancing the claims of a Trump-Russia collusion. Texts between Strzok and Page have also become known.

The IG report included a text conversation between Strzok and Page from August 2016: “(Trump’s) not ever going to become president, right? Right?!  We’ll stop it.”

Then there was the famous “insurance” text of August 15, 2016, in which Strzok wrote to Page:

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s (McCabe) office — that there’s no way he gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk.  It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before 40.”

Leticia James

Get this … Recall how New York Attorney General Letitia James campaigned for office with a pledge to get Trump; how she carried out politically motivated charges against him with fabricated claims of real estate fraud; how she appeared in court just to witness his being there; and how she, working with the judge, won a staggering judgement against Trump, only to have it overturned later.

Now, facing legitimate charges of real estate fraud herself, she asks a federal judge to dismiss the fraud case against her … wait for it … calling it a vindictive and politically motivated prosecution brought at the behest of a president who regards her as an enemy.  Stay tuned while the wheels of justice turn.

The president is being criticized for exacting retribution against those who tried to keep him from two terms of office.  The president, who once said, the success of his policies would be his retribution, is obviously enjoying the proceedings.

I would be lying if I told you I wasn’t enjoying it as I believe they need to be held accountable. Carter Page and Michael Flynn and others who had careers ruined by a corrupt FBI must be enjoying this too.  My archives are filled with commentaries on the scoundrels of the deep state and the need to drain the swamp.

As Lady Justice weighs the wrongdoing of those who have considered themselves above the law, may God continue to bless the United States of America
