Feinstein’s Folly

Here are my observations and opinions on the eleventh-hour attempt by Democrats to torpedo the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh.

How a senator secretly withheld a document to hijack a confirmation.

The liberal Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) had several opportunities to ask Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh about a sexual assault story originally brought to her attention by an anonymous accuser.

After being notified of the story in July, Feinstein failed to surface the charge during an August 20, 2018 private session with him in her office prior to 36 hours of open session hearings, or in her written questions. And, we know that she didn’t bother to appear at the closed-door hearing.

The fact that the woman in question wanted to remain anonymous at the time Feinstein received notice of her charge is immaterial. It didn’t prevent Feinstein from asking Kavanaugh about it privately or while he was under oath.

A friend of mine said he saw the smearing of Kavanaugh as “sad,” and conceded that he was “despondent over our political process and leftist society.” I agree.

AN ASIDE: Kavanaugh’s accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, is a liberal professor of social work, a donor to the DNC and Hillary Clinton, and a participant in the Women’s March as an anti-Trumper. And Ford’s attorney claims her client’s action against the judge was not politically motivated. Give me a break.

We recently witnessed the lionization of two former U.S. senators, one who was a known womanizer while serving in the Senate, and another who was known for this after his high school years.

Senators who participated in the glorification of those senators are now prepared to reveal their hypocrisy as they attempt to block the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh over something that may or may not have happened while he was in high school 35 years ago. He denies it.

Judiciary Committee Democrats refused to participate in a telephone conversation Chairman Chuck Grassely (R-IA) agreed to set up for inquiries of Judge Kavanaugh. No surprise.

The snarky Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), during a weekend television appearance, was asked his opinion of the accuser’s charge against the judge. “It does have a ring of truth to it,“ he said. From out of a Democrat’s mouth ….

A public hearing with Kavanaugh and his accuser is scheduled for Monday.

THINK ABOUT IT – An obstructionist minority party has the ability to deny an extremely qualified jurist a position on the Supreme Court after the hearings have concluded, and Hillary Clinton has the temerity to say “our democracy is in crisis.”

YOU CAN EXPECT Ford’s attorney, Debra Katz, a Washington sexual harassment attorney, to make a series of appearances on complicit media outlets. After all, it’s another means for the media to express their dislike of the Trump administration.

We cannot allow the Democrats to “Bork” Judge Kavanaugh. Stay strong. Stay the course.

May God bless the United States of America.
