NOT EXACTLY A FULL-THROATED ENDORSEMENT of Joe Biden by his former boss, Barack Obama, is highlighted in an article, “’The President Was Not Encouraging’: What Obama Really Thought About Biden,” in Politico.
Obama’s position on Biden was rather obvious when Biden said last year that he asked the former president not to endorse him. Then, when he finally did endorse him in an unprofessional video, he said, “I believe Joe has all of the qualities we need in a president right now, and I know he will surround himself with good people.” Wow. How’s that for confidence?
When Obama endorsed Hillary Clinton in 2016, he said, “I don’t think there’s ever been someone so qualified to hold this office.”
“Throughout the article you can see Joe Biden acting like the Rodney Dangerfield of politics because he ‘don’t get no respect’ from Obama, whose opinion of him is obviously much less than optimal,” commented P. J. Gladnick of the Media Research Center on the Politico piece.
Among the attributable comments on Biden in the article came from Ben Rhodes, deputy national security advisor to Obama, who wrote in his memoir, “In the Situation Room, Biden could be something of an unguided missile.”
Obama told a 2020 candidate in Iowa, “And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden.” An anonymous individual recalled a warning by Obama: “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up.”
Is there any wonder why there’s no enthusiasm for a Biden presidency?
NO MORE SOCCER MOMS – The Democrats are excited about “Rage Moms,” writes Ann Althouse in her blog, commenting on the anger of women fueling a political uprising described in a New York Times piece.
The failed Democrat candidate, Elizabeth Warren, is credited with firing up women over a broken system. Did you “love it?” said Warren, effusing about ginning up the anger of women for the aggrandizement of the Democrat Party.
Althouse disagrees with the term “Rage Moms.” “Don’t call women “moms,” she writes, “Women and men have a strong interest in raising children well. And women and men can and should form political opinions that take their interest into account.
“And don’t call women “rage moms.” Rage implies irrationality, so you’re trading on a sexist stereotype that women are irrational. Women and men are subject to rage, and its not usually a good thing – especially around children.”
“Their rage is irrational,” tweeted “Gusty Winds. “Is the GOP holding them hostage at home, or the Teachers Unions and Blue State Governors and Health officials?”
THE SUBURBAN WOMAN VOTE is the latest hot topic among pundits, with most of them indicating that President Trump has an uphill battle to secure their votes.
Laura Bennett, 53, of Santa Paula, California voted for Trump in 2016, but she told the Wall Street Journal she had “moved away from in recent months,” describing herself as “frustrated by the way he handled the killing of George Floyd in police custody and the subsequent racial-justice protests.”
Bennett, a full-time student, studying sociology and criminology, wasn’t asked how a president of the United States should have handled the killing.
Responding to the killing of Floyd, the president pre-empted his speech at the Kennedy Space Center to offer his condolences to the Floyd family. “My heart goes out to George’s family and friends.
“Justice will be served.” He later said that he had asked the FBI and Department of Justice to assist in the investigation.
I wonder, do all suburban women believe in reallocating funds for the police department, as Ms. Bennett admitted? I think not. The safety of their family is a priority, and President Trump is strong on law and order.
Lea Cash, 34, of Pike County, Georgia, who indicated she would vote for Trump again, remarked, “Do I think he’s a little bit of a narcissist and a little bit of an a-hole? But that’s kind of a requisite if you’re going to be president.”
“But do I think he’s doing a great job?,” asked the stay-at-home mother of two children. “Yes.”
While the leftist media no longer cover the “touchy feely” Biden, they continue to surface past comments Trump has made about some women.
Trump’s aides are urging women to look past the combative rhetoric and focus on his policies and four-year record of accomplishments.
May God continue to bless the United States of America.
