I know, it’s been a week since I last shared with you my comments on a variety of topics, but it doesn’t mean there wasn’t material worth writing about, so here goes.

Democrats Embarrass Selves

Three Democrats who are often referred to as presidential hopefuls – Newsom, Ocasio-Cortez and Whitmer – managed to embarrass themselves and their party while participating in the Munich Security Conference

When I saw that Zubayr Al-Bakoush, the mastermind of the deadly 2012 attack on our Benghazi, Libya compound, had been brought to the U.S. for prosecution, it brought back memories, so vivid that it seemed like the attack happened just yesterday.

When the Democrat’s National Committee decided last month not to release its much-ballyhooed autopsy of its losses in the 2024 election, they reasoned that the decision was made to avoid another public debate on the party’s weaknesses. Smart move.

While I prefer to comment on a single topic in each edition, 24/7 news doesn’t always cooperate.  Sometimes I can put a story in my stack of stuff for a future comment, but not today.

With all the rhetoric coming from Minnesota’s Gov. Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Frey that I believe has contributed to the chaos in Minneapolis, with their urging of obstruction against ICE and other government law enforcement officers, I was struck by the truth in this headline:

And strangely enough, it appeared in the leftist Arizona Republic a publication of the left-leaning USA Today.

I was critical of ObamaCare prior to its passage in 2010, writing op-ed pieces and letters to the editors of newspapers while living in Texas. I resumed my fight after moving to Arizona in 2014 when I started my blog commentaries.

Can you think of another topic more ridiculous than common sense when appealing to a group of legislators?  Yet, not since Thomas Paine published his pamphlet on it in 1776, has anyone promoted common sense thinking more than President Trump.
