I just returned from a book-signing for Col. Richard Hilton’s memoir, There Are No Sundays, held at the lovely home of Karen Palmer, a longtime friend of the Hilton’s in California.
It was a warm gathering of Colonel Hilton’s former Hughes Aircraft Company colleagues and family friends, and my wife, Janet, and I had the privilege of attending the event.
In my Feb.10, 2015 post, A patriot pilot, I wrote about meeting Colonel Hilton and the opportunity he gave me to edit his memoir.
Retired now, Colonel Hilton is contributing the proceeds of the sale of his book to wounded warriors and their families in San Antonio, TX.
The 400-page book covers Richard’s life from childhood through a 20-year flying career in the Air Force and his post-retirement years in the aerospace industry, complete with hundreds of pictures.
If you haven’t already ordered a book, autographed by Colonel Hilton, I highly recommend that you send him a check for $20 for each copy to Colonel Richard Hilton (Ret.), P. O. Box 746, Universal City, TX 78148
