“I can say with confidence there has never been a man or woman – not me, not Bill, nobody – more qualified than Hillary Clinton to serve as president of the United States of America.” – President Obama
It’s hard to believe that the narcissistic Obama could give Hillary Clinton such an unbelievable endorsement at the Democrat convention, but, as the former radio great Paul Harvey used to say, “now the rest of the story.”
In his “endorsement” speech, Obama referred to himself 118 times, or 3.5 times a minute. You’re not surprised are you? It’s always been all about him.
I was reminded of the time Sen. Harry Reid once told him “That speech was phenomenal, Barack.” Without hesitation, Obama responded, “I have a gift, Harry.”
The media on the left is so in awe of their candidate, the first woman to be nominated for the presidency, they would never question Obama’s pronouncement. Conservative pundits, however, are having a field day with it.
While President Kennedy is known for his memorable “Ask not …” line, Hillary is best known for “What difference does it make?”
Harry Truman said, “The buck stops here.” Hillary touts pay for play.
Abraham Lincoln said, “You can’t fool all of the people all of the time.” To that Hillary says, “Are you sure about that?” And Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address, while Hillary was paid $675,000 for three speeches to Goldman Sachs executives.
We are constantly told about Hillary’s vast experience.
As first lady, she failed to deliver a health care plan after her husband appointed her to lead a 500-member White House health care task force.
The National Review defined her senate career by the safe, noncontroversial bills that she couldn’t get passed. The bill that did get enacted was one designating a New York City courthouse as the Thurgood Marshall United States Courthouse. And the 200,000 jobs she promised New Yorkers were never created.
As secretary of state, she has contributed to the Obama administration’s failed foreign policy position that has led to our perceived weakness around the world. Her failure to provide adequate security for the Benghazi compound and failure to protect national security information with her personal e-mail server were failures in judgement. Have you heard that she was “proud that we put a lid on Iran’s nuclear program?”
While listening to a radio talk show this week, a caller said he had heard enough about Hillary’s extensive experience. “Having played golf for some 40 years, I have a lot of experience at playing golf,” he said, “but it doesn’t mean I can play on the PGA circuit.”
Hillary simply cannot be our next president.
