About that Trump remark … DACA and immigration … those DACA ‘kids’ … West African says Trump is correct … that double standard again … employees are winners … McSally’s bold stance … and CNN host duels Wolfe

Here are my observations on items in the news.

PRESIDENT TRUMP DID IT AGAIN – Referring to places that as we tend to grant immigration from as “sh—holes,” he said something that nearly everyone has said or thought in the privacy of our homes. Leave it to the Illinois Democrat, Sen. Dick Durbin, to leak what was said in the privacy of a White House meeting. Surely, you have heard people say that they would not discuss conversations they had with the president. But not the anti-Trumpers. They jump at the chance to embarrass the president.

A few years ago, there was little reaction when Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-SC) referred to those same places as “hell holes” in a Senate hearing.

Fox News Channel’s Melissa Frances, who can usually be counted on to offer level-headed comment, disappointed me Friday when she stated that we should allow more people to come here from those poor countries saying, “people from those countries appreciate being in a country like America.” That may be, but at what cost to the taxpayer in education and health care costs?

It’s not surprising that radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh said what needed to be said. “Forget the words used. The question was: Why do you people on the Democrat side want to continue to bring people to this country that are not going to benefit this country? Why instead do you not want to bring the best and brightest of the world to this country? Why is it that you think that we need to bring people to this country who are incapable of helping themselves?

I ask … why is that we hear stories about the DACA individual who was his high school valedictorian, or the one who finished college and is now pursuing her PHD, but never hear about those who live off we taxpayers?

JUST AN ASIDE – Those DACA “kids” as they are often referred to by Democrats actually average 25 years of age and some are as old as 35.

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) told a story of a doctor from Africa who practices in Janesville, Wisconsin. That’s one individual, Mr. Speaker.

You ask … why are Democrats so interested in the DACA individuals? Former Hillary Clinton staffer Jennifer Palmieri, now a hack for George Soros’ Center for American Progress, admitted in a leaked memo that passage of the DACA program that would protect nearly 800,000 illegal aliens from deportation and grant them amnesty is a key ingredient in the Democrat Party’s future election success. “The fight to protect Dreamers is not only a moral imperative, it is also a critical component in the Democrat Party’s future electoral success,” she wrote.

Democrats seem to insist on an immigration system that results in being a burden to this country? We know that they strive for a society that is dependent on the government.

But President Trump understands that isn’t the way we make American great again.

Although the media would have you believe that the president’s remark will be a set back for his immigration agenda, I disagree. A group of senators, including RINO Jeff Flake (R-AZ), thought the president would be a pushover after his one-hour televised “send me something I can sign” comment. His refusal to go along with a recommendation that didn’t support his agenda, told wary Trump supporters that he wouldn’t sign “just anything.”

“PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT,” said Mamady Traore, a sociologist from the West African nation of Guinea, according to the Associated Press. “When you have the heads of state who mess with the constitutions to perpetuate their power, when you have rebel factions that kill children, disembowel women as saints, who mutilate civilians,” she added.

DOUBLE STANDARD AGAIN – The media was quick to call the president’s reference to “sh—hole” countries as racist, they didn’t see Nancy Pelosi’s reference to the “five white guys” negotiating an immigration deal as racist. However, her number two, Minority Whip Steny Hoyer, did, saying, “that comment is offensive.”

FLASHBACK: Remember how the Media thought Vice President Joe Biden’s open mic comment to President Obama, “This is a big f—ing deal,” during the March 23, 2010 signing of the ObamaCare legislation, was hilarious? On nation-wide TV, not in the privacy of the White House. Never mind. The media sees President Trump’s alleged use of “sh—holes” in the privacy of the White House as an opportunity to call him a “racist” and continue the “unfit for the office” mantra.

CHANGING THE SUBJECT – Companies continue to respond favorably to the newly-signed tax legislation and the cutting of punishing regulations by paying bonuses, raising wages, increasing 401(k) contributions and expanding operations in the United States. It’s difficult to stay abreast with it all, and we cannot depend on the media to provide this good news. Americans for Tax Reform is carrying a list of all the company decisions at atr.org. Take a look. You will be impressed.

Then an Air Force combat pilot flying the versatile A-10 Warthog, McSally became a strong voice in Washington. (en.wikepedia, org)

HATS OFF TO REP. MARTHA MCSALLY (R-AZ), who shook-up the politically correct folks with her admonition to Republicans in Washington DC “to grow a pair of ovaries” during her announcement to run for the senate.

If you aren’t familiar with McSally, she was elected to the House from southern Arizona after serving 26 years in the Air Force, including service as an A-10 Warthog combat pilot.

Of course, the left-leaning Arizona Republic chose to say that her choice of words “echoes Trump’s brash tone and outsider point of view.”

“I’m a fighter pilot, and I talk like one, “she says.

In my December 19, 2014 post, I wrote of another warning by the Arizona Republic that if she were to win, she would have to shed any conservative views she might have if she wanted to serve more than one year. “She will need to plot a moderate course to earn reelection.”  “I’m betting McSally will acquit herself just fine,” I concluded then.  And, she has.

McSally released a video in which President Trump say’s “She’s the real deal … she’s tough.” With that, Republic writer Dan Nowicki took the opportunity to remind us that President Trump pardoned Sheriff Joe Arpaio. “Trump, an ally of Arpaio’s, is shown in McSally’s video, calling McSally his (Trump’s) friend,” Nowicki writes, obviously hoping that the mention of Arpaio will tarnish McSally.

Earlier this week we saw McSally sitting at the table with President Trump and a number of other House members and senators discussing immigration.

YOU BETTER SIT DOWNCNN host Michael Smerconish actually challenged Michael Wolfe over “facts” in his anti-Trump book, telling the author that his writing “begs interesting questions as to what grounds you were able to pull up that sofa in the West Wing.” Wolfe wrote that he had “something like a semi-permanent seat on a couch in the West Wing.” To that, Wolfe simply responded, “Read my book, that’s all I have, that is my final word.”

Weinstein and Winfrey in happier days. (Getty image)

JUST A REMINDER to those who think Oprah Winfrey, the darling of the Democrat Party, didn’t know what movie mogul Harvey Weinstein was doing with young starlets.
