Scott Adams comments on Trump … Chuck Todd seeking Trump’s impeachment … more fake news from CNN … Houston’s unhinged representative … AXIOS predicts Dem victory … all the hatred … a ‘must see’ on TV … and the Sessions mistake

Here are my observations and opinions on selected news of the day.

SCOTT ADAMS may not be a name recognizable to you, but “Dilbert,” the cartoon character he created, most certainly would be. I wrote about Adams’ book, Win Bigly, earlier this year.

Appearing on Fox & Friends Friday morning, Adams offered two of his choice observations on President Trump and the media worthy of paraphrasing here for you.

Like my plumber, Adams said, I don’t give a hoot about his personal life as long as he fixes my leaky faucet. Drawing an analogy with the president, Adams commented that while he was aware that the president wasn’t a choir boy. He voted for him because he had the knowledge to take care of the nation’s business.

Commenting on the bias in the media, Adams told of two hunters who went into the woods and when they came out, one of them (call him CNN/MSNBC) told friends about seeing “Big Foot,” while the other, looking with disbelief at him, said there was no such sighting. Unfortunately, far too many people believe the mainstream media.

It’s an excellent example of the mainstream media’s fake news.

SPEAKING OF FAKE NEWS Breitbart’s John Nolte writes about the bias and dishonesty that has made CNN’s Jim Sciutto a laughingstock.

“Last week, Sciutto misled the public with a breathless piece of ‘breaking news’ that falsely claimed President Trump did not consult with DNI Dan Coats prior to revoking the security clearance of John Brennan,” said Nolte. Though Trump did consult of with Coats, Sciutto still hasn’t corrected his story.

On July 27, 2016, Sciutto and a couple of his CNN colleagues claimed that Michael Cohen knew that Trump was aware in advance of the 2016 Trump Tower meeting involving Donald Trump Jr., intimating that Trump not only lied about knowing of the meeting with Russians, but approved of the meeting “… therefore collusion, therefore impeachment, therefore Obama return to the Oval Office on the wings of a unicorn,” jokes Nolte.

“There is just one problem with Sciutto’s reporting … none of it is true,” writes Nolte.

THEN THERE’S NBC’S despicable Chuck Todd, who used the network’s “Today Show” to falsely claim that President Trump has been accused of “federal crimes.”

The leftist Todd suggested that House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) should save his legacy by launching impeachment proceedings against a president accused of nothing more than a possible FEC violation. “I do think Paul Ryan needs to think long and hard about the future of the Republican Party,” said Todd.

Texas Rep. Al Green (CNN.com)

REP. AL GREEN seems to enjoy the spotlight even when it shows him to be a fool. You may remember that it was Green who stood on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on May 17, 2018 to call for the impeachment of President Trump for obstruction of justice … the firing of the disgraced former FBI Director James Comey … saying “the facts are simple and indisputable.”

On Friday, Breitbart’s Pam Key wrote that Green seems to have forgotten the obstruction charge, and now says “The president does not have to commit a crime to be impeached.

In fact, the president is not likely to be indicted, which means he’s not likely to be found guilty of a crime while he’s sitting, which means that if this comes before the House, it won’t come before the House as a president who has been found guilty, but rather as a president who is alleged to have committed certain offenses that are onerous to the Constitution and that harm society.

“It’s my opinion that you cannot allow an unfit president to continue to cause harm to society,” Green stated. His examples centered on bigotry and racism.

The voters of south Houston, Texas should be really proud of their elected representative.

“I FEAR WHERE WE ARE HEADED due to blind hatred and an uninformed electorate,” e-mailed a friend after reading my continued coverage of the hate exhibited by Democrats and the liberal media.

I agree. I’m just hopeful that by calling attention to their hate-filled obstructionist agenda that their effort will backfire on them in the upcoming midterms, where they are counting on defeating Republicans on a ballot that doesn’t even include the name of Donald Trump.

THE LEFT-LEANING AXIOS blog continues its anti-Trump mantra with “The writing is on the wall, top Republicans tell us: Democrats will likely win the House and undoubtedly move to impeach President Trump.

What would they do without unnamed sources. Who are those Republicans?

AXIOS’ Jonathan Swan adds, “For the first time, I’m hearing real fear and concern in the voices of Trump allies.”

MUST SEE – Two impressive young conservative women, Katie Pavlitch of TownHall and Candace Owens of Turning Point, will be guests of Mark Levin on Fox’s Life, Liberty & Levin Show Sunday evening. Check your local listing for time and station.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions (leafy.com)

THE SESSIONS MISTAKEPresident Trump’s selection of Sen. Jeff Sessions to be his attorney general was a payback for his early decision to support his candidacy before a crowd of 32,000 Alabamans on February 28, 2016 in Madison, Alabama.

As candidate Trump toured the country on a hectic pace, Sessions was on hand to introduce Trump and do what ever was asked of him.

Sessions’ decision to recuse himself from anything Russian after being sworn in as AG put him in the dog house with the president. That was followed by a battle of words over the mishandling of the Hillary Clinton-related investigations and the stonewalling of documents requested by Congress.

There have been consistent reports of the president’s plan to fire Sessions or his effort to force his resignation.

I believe it would be a mistake for the president to fire him at this time; perhaps after the Mueller investigation and surely after the midterms.

I was taken aback by a line in Sessions’ statement this week – “While I am attorney general, the actions of the Department of Justice will not be improperly influenced by political considerations.” Whoa! I thought, how can he say that? Several people have been fired and others have resigned, or merely demoted or transferred to another government agency. Nothing political?

Unfortunately, a number of Obama (Eric Holder-Loretta Lynch) holdovers of the Deep State are still entrenched, and I simply don’t believe Sessions is the man to restore integrity to the DOJ and the FBI.

May God bless the United States of America.
