Trump agrees with Obama … ‘the wall’ … CNN’s ratings down again … Reines must go … Sinema not for women … greenhouse emissions down … and a serial killer film not worthy of recognition

Here are my observations and opinions on my selected news of the day.

WHAT? TRUMP AGREES WITH OBAMA? Tell me you’re joking, Mr. President. There it was @realDonaldTrump, Oct. 23, 2018, “I agree with President Obama 100%.”

He was referring to a C-SPAN news clip of then Senator Obama speaking on illegal immigration. It was an opportunity for President Trump to show how far the Democrats have changed on the issue of immigration, wrote Victor Morton in The Washington Times.

“We are a generous and welcoming people in the United States,” said Obama, “but those who enter the country illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law and they are showing disregard for those who are following the law.

“We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, unchecked and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently and lawfully to become immigrants in this country,” he added.

THE WALL – “If the caravan of thousands of prospective illegal aliens marching for our Southern border like an invading army has succeeded in one thing, it is that the wall will finally be built,” writes Roger L. Simon in PJMedia. “You can book it. People are fed up. And they damn well should be.

The open border Democrat radicals on the left like to quote the words on the Statue of Liberty – you know, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses …” with no thought of the effect on our economy, let alone the unfairness to the thousands who have waited for years to get their papers.

Simon envisions Trump finally getting the honeymoon he deserved when first elected with the caravan and the injustice shown toward Kavanaugh giving him a victory in the House. The wall would be on top of the agenda.

Vote Republican.

CNN’S DOWNWARD SPIRALThe Daily Caller, with data supplied by the Nielsen rating system, reported that CNN placed 13th in primetime viewers with just 883,000, and failed to crack the top five most popular channels –Fox News Channel, ESPN, TBS, MSNBC and get this … Nickelodeon – during the October 15-21 rating period. Even the History Channel did better than CNN in primetime.

NOTE TO FOX – Your fair and balanced pledge be damned. It’s time to disinvite the contributions of former Hillary Clinton spokesperson Philippe Reines. While the Fox News Channel and its commentators have denounced incivility, Reines recently shrugged off incidents of confrontations between protestors and Republicans in restaurants and airports.

Commenting on the airport incident involving Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell while appearing on MSNBC, Reines said McConnell is “getting away with murder, and net-net, I think he thinks if this is the worst he gets, that’s fine.

“You have a Republican Party who is giving aid and comfort to white nationalists and they’ve become the part of while nationalists and all of their hatred. That’s a bigger deal to me than someone not getting their supper.”

ANOTHER DEMOCRAT OOPS – Just as Democrats try to woo suburban moms ahead of the midterm elections, their candidate for senate Kyrsten Sinema has become an embarrassment and is reminding us how much the left hates us.

The 42-year-old single, bisexual, atheist lawyer with a Ph.D. in justice studies has some interesting views on life, as you might imagine, according to Julie Kelly, writing in American Greatness.

Already know for her anti-capitalism views and her anti-war activism flyers depicting U.S. warriors as skeletons, she regularly attacks the state she wants to represent as a “meth lab of democracy” and refers to its residents as “crazy.”

If that isn’t enough, what should turn the women’s vote away from her, and in support of Martha McSally, is her ridiculing of stay-at-home moms. Sinema questions the feminist cred of women who don’t work outside the home and instead choose to care for their families.

“These women who act like staying at home, leeching off their husbands or boyfriends, and just cashing the checks is some sort of feminism because they’re choosing to live that life,” she said during an interview. Of course, she later said it was just a joke.

OH, NO! … the Chicken Little’s of climate change were wrong again. Remember how President Trump was highly criticized for pulling out of the Paris Accord? Saving us billions of dollars, by the way.

The EPA announced this week that U.S. greenhouse gas emissions dropped by 2.7 percent last year, the first year of the Trump presidency.

Per capita emissions fell to a 67-year low.

Meanwhile, many of the European nations, that vowed to continue the goals of the Accord, are struggling to meet their goals. Even Germany, often referred to as a climate leader, says it will miss its 2020 target of reducing emissions by 40 percent. China recorded the highest increase in emissions at 1.6 percent.

NOT YOUR RUN-OF-THE-MILL SERIAL KILLER – Have you heard that more than 200 theaters have dropped the film “Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer,” and the mainstream media for entertainment – Variety, The Hollywood Reporter and the New York Times – have not reviewed it.

“Gosnell” tells the story of Kermit Gosnell, an abortionist in Philadelphia who was sentenced to life in prison for first degree murder of three babies he killed after birth and involuntary manslaughter of one of his patients. His disgusting, stomach-turning clinic, where he kept baby “parts” in jars, has been dubbed a “house of horror,” writes Tyler O’Neil in PJMedia.

While the Hollywood crowd proudly produced films about serial killers like Charles Manson, Jeffry Dahmer and Ted Bundy, they’re simply trying to ignore “Gosnell,” because they don’t want to have a discussion about abortion, says O’Neil.
