Klobuchar clueless … Schiff calls Trump un-American … 77 percent disapproval of Congress … letter writer gets it … story on Kelly buried … Cummings in ethics spotlight … and the demand for Trump tax returns

Here are my observations and opinions on my selected news of the day.

IS AMY KLOBUCHAR REALLY THAT IGNORANT? – She’s a U. S. Senator with a prosecutorial background, who now wants to be the next President of the United States, but doesn’t have a clue of the wrongdoing that took place in our highest law enforcement organizations.

Appearing on CNN during a discussion on President Trump’s decision to declassify documents to expose the truth of what went on in the DOJ, the FBI and CIA, she told host Dana Bash … are you ready for this? … “This is all part of a pattern of politicizing our Justice Department instead of allowing justice to be done.”

How in God’s name does she think this all begin if it wasn’t the politicization of these top agencies by Obama holdovers? It was Obama who had it in for Michael Flynn, and Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, who wasted no time trying to incriminate him.

Has Klobuchar forgotten that Obama opened the door to intelligence for his administration in the last days of his tenure? As a result, UN Ambassador Samantha Power, among others,  sought inside information about individuals more than 200 times?

Was Klobuchar on another planet when several FBI agents plotted against President Trump before and after he was elected. And was she unaware of Brennan and Clapper using their former positions to attack Trump.

Justice will be done, Ms. Klobuchar, thanks to the transparency provided by President Trump and Barr’s team of investigators. Your confidence in the weak-kneed Christopher Wray, who convinced you there was no spying going on, is misplaced. Yes, I know, he was appointed by Trump.

IGNORNANCE IS CATCHING – Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff, who has boasted of having incriminating evidence against the president, but has yet to produce it, has referred to President Trump’s declassification of documents as … are you ready for this? … “un-American.” And, like Klobuchar, says Trump and Barr are conspiring “against political enemies.”

IT’S LITTLE WONDER WHY 77 percent of Americans across the political spectrum disapprove of Congress’ job performance, according to the latest Gallup survey.

HE GETS IT – “When Trump wins reelection, make sure to thank a Democrat,” wrote Craig Holstad of Chandler, Arizona in his letter to the editor of the Arizona Republic newspaper.

“Have the Democrats lost all of their marbles?” he wrote, “Are they really handing the 2020 election to Trump?

“First, collusion with the Russians. But Robert Mueller said no.

The obstruction, but William Barr said no.

“Now Nancy Pelosi says, ‘Cover-up.’

“They have wasted two-plus years and millions of dollars.

“They have accomplished zero in all this time and will have nothing on which to run.

“They will hand the election to President Trump.

“Thank you, Democrats.”

IN A RARE MOMENT OF TRUTH, the left-leaning Arizona Republic published a story unfavorable to Democrat senate hopeful Mark Kelly, who, I firmly believe, they hope will unseat Sen. Martha McSally in 2020.

While they did publish the story of Kelly’s appearance at a fundraiser headlined by a man – Blaine Tanner – who is known as one of Ontario, Canada’s “worst deadbeat parent,” the piece was placed on page 14 among the automobile advertising.

WHILE THE LEFT DEMANDS TRUMP’S TAX RETURNS, the financial investigation brewing over Democrat Rep. Elijah Cummings and his wife, Maya Rockeymoore, has been largely ignored by the media, of course.

A charity run by Rockeymoore received millions from special interest groups and corporations that had business before her husband’s committee which could have been used illegally, according to Alana Goodman, writing in the Washington Examiner.

Rockeymoore runs two non-profit entities whose operations appear to have overlapped, according to an IRS complaint filed by a watchdog group.

Reportedly, Cummings’ personal financial picture has improved since marrying Rockeymoore in 2008. Prior to the marriage, he struggled with serious financial problems, experiencing a house foreclosure, unpaid taxes to the IRS, court appearances for unpaid debts, and hefty child support payments.

REGARDING CONGRESS’ POWER to demand President Trump’s tax returns. You may recall from a previous posts that the Ways and Means Committee told the IRS that it needed the returns to determine the extent to which the IRS audits and enforces the federal tax laws against a president.

“The administration would likely argue that this is not a legitimate reason to obtain all of the president’s business and tax returns since 2013,” writes Ross Garber, “particularly because it could be accomplished without knowing the details of all of the president’s tax information.” Garber adds that the argument would be bolstered by the fact that Congress has never obtained or even sought the tax returns of any other president.

Kramerontheright views it as politically motivated by Democrats with Trump derangement syndrome.

May God bless the United States of America.
