Dems feeding division in nation with racism … minorities not buying it … RNC fundraising record … CNN hires leaker liar McCabe … Gayle King drinks the Times’ Kool Aid … Harris bested in tweet … Obama no longer concerned with rising oceans … Bernie’s $16 trillion plan to kill fossil fueld by 2050 … and my laugh-of-the-day

Here are my observations and opinions on my selected news of the day.

DEMOCRATS FEED RACISM, HATE, DIVISION – Democrats and the leftist media continue to spew propaganda that President Trump is a racist white supremacist who is dividing the country in a desperate attempt to sink his reelection. I intend to actively push for a backlash against them in this blog.

HEATHER MAC DONALD (foxnews.com)

You may recall, on August 5, 2019, in my piece, “Who’s Really Fueling the Atmosphere?” I noted racist comments made by a number of Democrats and publications.  There are those who still hang onto Russian collusion and obstruction of justice, while others have moved to racism and pushing the rumor of a recession.  A few ignoramuses even criticize his relationship with dictators.

I was delighted this week to read Heather MacDonald’s op-ed, “Trump Isn’t the One Dividing Us by Race,” in the Wall Street Journal.  A fellow at the Manhattan Institute, she chronicled quotes from the left to make her point (and mine.)

“Mr. Trump “exploits race,” “uses race for his gain,” is engaged in a “racially divisive reprise” of his 2016 campaign, stokes “racial resentments,” and puts “race to the fore,” the New York Times has reported over the past several months,” MacDonald recalls.

“Yet Mr. Trump rarely uses racial categories in his speech or tweets,” she states, “It is the media and Democrat leaders who routinely characterize individuals and groups by race and issue race-based denunciation of large parts of the American polity.”  It is common for them to cite certain words as “dog whistles” against minorities.

The fact that President Trump’s language and behavior is shockingly abusive and inflammatory on many levels hardly absolves him of his routine use of overt ‘dog whistle’ racially charged rhetoric which fans the flames of bigotry.” – Betsy Karasik, letter to the editor of the Wall Street Journal

A blatant hate for the president, his family, his administration, his policies and even his supporters is expressed daily by the left.  I have said it before and will repeat – no president in history has accomplished so much while under daily attacks, including by internal Deep State forces, from the day of his inauguration.

Even a former member of the Trump administration can’t escape the hate mongers. The long knives of the entertainment world came out when former Trump spokesman Sean Spicer was selected to appear on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars.  Get a life, folks.

THE LEFT’S AGENDA to paint the president as a racist just may not be working despite the exhaustive efforts of the Democrat candidates and their compliant media.

In a refreshing piece, Minorities Don’t Believe Trump is a Racist,” written by Adam Mill in American Greatness online, the author writes that “in a recent Zogby poll, a whopping 49 percent of Hispanics approve of the job Trump is doing, and that a poll subhead reads, ‘Trump is winning urban voters and has a record support with African Americans.’”

“How is it possible that an alleged white supremacist president could draw ‘record support’ from African Americans?” Mill asks, “It’s a strong indication that the left’s effort to paint the president as racist is failing.”

Quoting from the study “Hidden Tribes: A Study of American’s Polarized Landscape,” Mill says, “Maybe most Americans of all races want to get along and do business with each other,” noting that “83 percent of ‘traditional conservatives’ and 79 percent of ‘devoted conservatives’ say they have warm feelings toward African Americans.” The percentages were equally high for Hispanics.

Citing racism at the drop of the hat (word) is getting tired, and the demagoguery being practiced by the left serves to divide the nation more than the few politically incorrect comments of the president.

MEANWHILE, the RNC received $20.8 million in July, the largest ever for a non-election year July, bringing their current total of $117.9 million for the 2019-2020 cycle.  The RNC has increased the number of major donors from 33 to 45 percent and has more small donors than the DNC.

CNN DOESN’T HIDE ITS BIAS as they hire the lying and leaking disgraced former deputy FBI director Andy McCabe as a contributor.  What is not readily known is the fact that CNN received a backlash from some of the Democrat presidential campaigns when they hired Sarah Isgur Flores, a conservative who was a spokeswoman for the DOJ and former AG Sessions.

THEN THERE’S MSNBC, where Kasie Hunt, appearing on Meet the Press Daily, said, “Can I just say, character-wise, let’s elect a woman, okay?  This nonsense that ‘s coming from our male politicians of all parties … I don’t know … I’m just tired of it.  You don’t want to worry about character? Elect a woman, please.  Thank you.”

Panelist Doug Thornell of the DNC reminded viewers that Hillary Clinton was a “good woman” but that her character and honesty issues contributed to her defeat as polls showed she was not viewed as trustworthy to a majority of voters.

I REPORTED recently how the leftist media feeds on the stated agenda of The New York Times and its 1619 project, and we’re seeing it play in the lowly Arizona Republic and this past Thursday, like a lemming, CBS black co-host Gayle King praised the effort saying, “The thing that’s so amazing about this that makes me proud, you can look at just about anything happening today and tie it to slavery,” reported David Ruiz in the Washington Free Beacon.

Her guest, Niclole Hannah-Jones, also black, tried to top that saying, “You look at the naming of Wall Street.  You look at the sugar we eat. You can tie health care  to slavery.”  Hannah-Jones claims there are millions of blacks, Hispanics and Asians who can’t get insurance because of slavery.  OMG

SEATON MOTLEY, writing @SetonMotley got the best of Democrat Kamala Harris this week.  Tweeting @KamalaHarris, she wrote: “When Trump cozies up to white supremacists and winks at suggestions of violence against black and brown communities, he makes our country less safe.  That ends when I’m president.”  To that, Motley responded with, “Its’s awful when Donald Trump slaughters unicorns. Which happens just as often as all the things you listed.”

FORMER PRESIDENT OBAMA apparently no longer fears rising coastal waters due to global warming.  He just purchased a $15 million waterfront estate in Martha’s Vineyard.

BERNIE SANDERS unveiled his $16.3 trillion version of the Green New Deal that he claims will “pay for itself” over 15 years and create 20-million new jobs, while eliminating all fossil fuels by 2050, when he will be 109 years of age.

LAUGH-OF-THE-DAY – After devoting her entire Holland (Michigan) Sentinel column to the gaffes, foibles and tired policy aims of Apology Joe Biden, humor columnist Celia Rivenbark wrote, “Donald Trump is a terrible person who cozies up to dictators and white supremacists. Joe Biden is not.”  How ridiculous.

May God continue to bless the United States of America.
