Here are my observations and opinions on my selected news of the day.

BERNIE RECEIVED AOC’S ENDORSEMENT, but Apology Joe Biden received the coveted endorsement of former Sen. Christopher Dodd, best remembered for being the other half of Ted Kennedy’s infamous “waitress sandwich,” reminds Elisabeth Vaughn in Red State.

Apparently, Biden figured Dodd would be remembered for his role in the Dodd-Frank legislation instead of his 1985 escapade in Washington’s Le Brasserie restaurant, as he welcomed the endorsement.

WE FACE A GLOBAL WARMING CATASTROPHE if we don’t do what’s right within 11 years, according to activist actress Jane Fonda, “so we have to do everything we can to stop the warming of the planet,” she says.  Holding up a “Green New Deal Now!” sign while being arrested in a Washington DC protest, she was heard shouting “Fossil fuels have to go.”

I was sorry to see the accomplished actor Sam Waterston reducing himself to such a ridiculous cause alongside her.

NO TRACTION FOR KAMALA HARRIS In Iowa … her issues are not those of Iowans.

While her aides are failing to help her with her issues with Twitter, she certainly didn’t help herself during a Friday night appearance on CNN with Anderson Cooper, when she charged that Rudy Giuliani had “clearly broken many laws,” but was unable to name any when Cooper asked her for “specific laws” he has broken.

COMEY REDUCED SPEAKING FEE – When I read that the disgraced former FBI Director James Comey had reduced his speaking fee to $54,000 for the UNLV Law School, I immediately recalled my October 12, 2019 piece “Comey still out to oust Trump.”

I wrote the piece after reading Matt Flegenheimer’s New York Times interview in which he wrote about Comey’s his six-figure fee for speaking.  “It’s a lot! Mr. Comey enthused.  Seriously, it’s crazy.”

Yes, it is, considering what he put our country through.

A UNLV donor paid for Comey’s engagement, speaking on … wait for it … “The Ethical Leader.”

REGULAR READERS will recall my reflecting on the disappointing changes at the Fox News Channel, as they have added more leftist contributors, like former DNC head Donna Brazille, who is allowed to spin for the Dems on Fox’s featured shows.  And, Marie Harf the smarmy former State Department spokesperson for John Kerry is back.

I’m not the only one who has noticed this.  Several of my friends have noted the changes, as has Daniel John Sobieski at American Thinker, who came down hard on Fox’s legal analyst Andrew Napolitano, “who of late has been the poster child for the increasingly leftward tilt of the network touted as ‘fair and balanced,’ and who believes that President Trump is guilty of colluding with the Russians, in insists that the inquiry by Rep. Adam Schiff is perfectly legal because there is no requirement in law that a vote to conduct such an inquiry be taken.”

Napolitano says that if the case gets to the Senate … “there and only there – if we get there – will the president have his due process.”

Kramerontheright is a fan of former U. S. Attorney Joe DiGenova, who during an appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight last month, said, “in their bizarre brains, Democrats believe they did win in 2016 and this is payback,” and in the process he landed a memorable insult on Napolitano.

“This is lunacy,” he declared. “You’re are watching a great political party, historically the Democrat party, devolve into a bunch of screwballs because they want all the power.”

When Carlson told DiGenova that he had heard Napolitano say on air that what the president has admitted to doing is a crime. “Is it a crime? You’re a former federal prosecutor,” Carlson asked.

“Well, I think Judge Napolitano is a fool,” responded DiGenova. And I think what he said today is foolish.  No, it is not a crime.  Let me underscore emphatically that nothing that the president said on that call or what we think he said on that call constitutes a crime.”

“HILLARY CLINTON has been asked to leave Costco after repeatedly accusing a sample lady of being a Russian asset,” declared The Babylon Bee, the popular satirical publication.

“It wasn’t clear how Clinton ended up in the Costco, as she usually has her servants go to the market for her,“ the paper noted.

The sample lady apparently offered Clinton a paper cup of orange juice.  “Orange… orange like Trump!” Clinton shouted, frightening the poor demonstration worker.  “You’re in league with him, aren’t you?”

“Arrest that woman,” Clinton said, “can’t someone help me out?”

“Sure lady,” said a security guard, we’ll help you out, as they dragged her to the front door.
