Trump down, but not out … Dems don’t really want police reform … Trump back on the road … law and order president … Biden tied to Flynn investigation … on the horizon … our silent majority … time to stand up … and advice to the faithful

Here are my observations and opinions on what I see happening to our country.

TRUMP DOWN, BUT NOT OUT – The polls show Joe Biden leading in the battleground states.  Seriously?  We’re told that he has taken in more campaign contributions.  Seriously?  Yet, a recent poll shows that just a third of his supporters are enthusiastic about him.

BREAKING NEWS: The out-of-touch Biden said today that “People don’t have a job. People don’t know where to go. They don’t know what to do.”  Was he thinking about himself?  He added that “Now we have over 120 million dead of Covid.”  120 million?  A third of the population?  How sad.

Meanwhile, the left is taking advantage of the less than expected audience in attendance at President Trump’s rally in Tulsa last Saturday, most likely the result of the media’s drumbeat of Covid-19 scare tactics and Democrat dirty tricks on social media.

The left continues to falsely paint the president as ignoring increased Covid-19 cases as he pursues his 2020 campaign for reelection, including a charge that he had given orders to slow down testing.  Several officials, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, vehemently denied that happened during House testimony this week.

Simultaneously, the left, with its support for Black Lives Matter, is blaming his lack of leadership as the cause for the rioting, looting and vandalism, even though that activity began within hours of George Floyd‘s killing, in numerous cities, nearly all under Democrat control.  The president provided federal assistance from the DOJ/FBI in the investigation of Floyd’s death.  In addition, he has offered help to those cities and states.

Comments made by retired generals and admirals, and former advisor John Bolton, though unflattering, are generally viewed outside of the Beltway as coming from establishment figures who simply could not see their way clear to learn Trump’s modus operandi.

Toss in the minor defeat in the Supreme Court over the DACA individuals and it’s understandable that Trump supporters are feeling uncertain about his future.

However, it appears a win is in sight for him as an appeals court issued its opinion favoring the dismissal in the case of Michael Flynn.  This is not only a win for justice, but a win over the underhanded activities of the Deep State.

The reopening of the economy is spotty, and the stock market has had some impressive gains, while absorbing an occasional hit. The economy was going to be the president’s key to reelection until the virus necessitated a lockdown.

“Trump is down, but with about 130 days to go, not out,” writes Michael Goodwin, in the New York Post.  “There is now an urgent need for him to rise above the daily noise and make a sustained, compelling argument for why his vision offers a better path forward,” Goodwin recommended.

DEMAGUAGING THE “JUSTICE ACT” – Blocking the police reform bill is Pelosi and Schumer’s latest attempt to paint the president and the GOP as unwilling to reform policing, milking the murder of George Floyd as they accuse Republicans of trying “to get away with murder.”  With further action on this legislation presumably dead between now and Election Day, expect the Dems to politicize the issue against Trump and GOP senators up for reelection.

              ON THE POSITIVE SIDE

BACK ON THE ROAD – Two days after the Tulsa rally, President Trump was in Yuma, Arizona to celebrate the 200th mile of new border fencing, where he announced reductions in illegal crossings.

The same day, he was in Phoenix, where he received a rousing welcome from the  3,000 young Republican members of Turning Point USA.

STANDING UP FOR LAW AND ORDER, President Trump plans to issue an executive order strengthening current law covering the destruction of historical monuments.

BIDEN TIED TO FLYNN INVESTIGATION – Newly released notes reveal that Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden was deeply involved with concocting a three-year investigation over Michel Flynn’s phone discussions with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kslyak, along with President Biden, Sally Yates, James Comey, Susan Rice and Peter Strzok

One of the notes, written in January 4, 2017 by Strzok, indicated that Comey said the calls with Kslyak “appear legit,” with Obama emphasizing that “the right people” should look into Flynn.  Recall that Obama did not like Flynn and advised Trump not to put him on his staff.

Biden has already been caught lying about his involvement in the investigation decision during a May 12, 2020 interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, first claiming that he misunderstood the question.

AND ON THE HORIZON

THE DURHAM REPORT – The results of U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation into the origins of Deep State attempt to bring down the Trump presidency is now expected to come to light late summer.  Surely, the revelation of the dastardly deeds of high-level Democrats (my prediction) should help secure Trump votes by more centrist Democrats, Independents and on-the-fence Republicans.

WE NEED TO SPEAK UP

WE, THE SILENT MAJORITY, are “stronger than ever before,” President Trump told the Tulsa rally audience and the millions who watched the rally on television, we are reminded by Roger Kimball in The Epoch Times, who writes that the “silent majority will have to learn to speak up, and soon.”

After reading this, I recall commenting to Mrs. Kramer about that silence, noting that most of Trump’s supporters are silent.  Pollsters are aware that many of their contacts prefer not to reveal for whom they will vote, and Republicans will not be found in those groups of protestors.  They “speak up” at the ballot box.

“The left regards Trump as an existential threat, and they are right to,” says Kimball. “The attacks they mount against him will be unprecedented in ferocity and underhandedness … no dirty trick to which they will not stoop.”

We must respond to the Deep State’s three-year effort to unseat President Trump by marshaling our friends and associates to begin talking about his reelection.

As the president said in Tulsa, “the choice in 2020 is very simple.  Do you want to bow before the left-wing mob?  Or do you want to stand tall and proud as Americans?”

Now is not the time to go wobbly on President Trump.

THEN THERE’S THIS warning and admonishment to us from the Clairmont Institute, a conservative think tank of note.  In its piece, “Stand Up, Republicans,” authors Thomas D. Klingenstein and Ryan P. Williams stated that they thought that Republicans did not understand that the current Black Lives Matter movement, supported by the Democrats,“ is for all intents and purposes an effort to destroy the American way of life.  Almost all Republicans, however, are stupefied, spectators to this tragedy.”

“Unlike Democrats, Republicans do not kneel before their captors,” it is written, “but they are certainly not standing up to them.”  While Republicans denounce BLM violence and the call for police defunding, the authors point out that they leave the movement’s goal of the destruction of the American way of life unchallenged.

“In this time of national insanity, what is needed is clarity and firmness.  Republicans must stop saying America is racist.  It’s not true, and it does terrible damage to give any credibility to BLM,” the authors suggest.

Our marching orders.

AND THIS ADVICE TO THE FAITHFUL

FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS NEVER GIVEN UP – “Once you’ve shut out the primary source of fear and negativism and pessimism, you’ll have a remarkably different outlook on every day … avoid the propaganda and the people lying to you who want you to feel exactly the way you feel.

“Your attitude on life is going to change rapidly when you do not subject yourself to the constant lies.  You’re being lied to.  You’re being propagandized.  You’re being depressed.

“The people that do the news today are purposely trying to drive you away from your support of Trump.  They’re doing their best to make you think you have lost … there’s no reason to resist anymore.

“Don’t let them get away with this in any way, shape or manner, or form because while you’re doing that, rest assured that Donald Trump is not giving up.  He is singularly the best fighter, the most energetic, he’s indefatigable.  He does not give up.  He does not stop.  And he’s not going to.  He realizes what’s going on.” Rush Limbaugh.

May God continue to bless the United States of America.
