Krugman arises with another theory … Gov. Cuomo’s hubris … deBlasio cancels New Year’s Eve in Times Square … Schumer politicizes Barrett nomination … and an attack on Barrett’s adopted children

PAUL KRUGMAN, not exactly a name known to most of America, so allow me to remind you of his New York Times prediction on the night of the 2016 presidential election, that if Donald Trump wins, there will be a “global recession.” And “if the question is when will markets recover, a first pass answer is never.”

Well, he’s at it again with an Election Day conspiracy theory, according to Red State.

Not only does he believe that the president will not accept the result if he loses, he wrote @paulkrugman: “Expect violence from Trump supporters, maybe lots of it, both to disrupt voting on Election Day and in the days that follow.  If you aren’t terrified, you aren’t paying attention.”

Violence from Trump supporters? Krugman has once again demonstrated that he lives in a bubble of complete cluelessness and obliviousness to the rotten things going on all around him, all perpetrated by extremists on his side of the aisle,” Red State notes.

If there is any post-election day violence, it will most assuredly be plotted and coordinated by some of the same repugnant slugs on the radical left who have orchestrated what has played out in cities like Portland and Seattle.

HAVE YOU HEARD the latest from New York’s arrogant Gov. Andrew Cuomo? Still facing heavy scrutiny over his packing of nursing homes with Covid-19 patients, who have ultimately died, has said he’s not going to trust the federal government when it comes to a vaccine for the virus.

“Frankly,” he said, with all of the hubris he could muster, “I’m not going to trust the federal government’s opinion, and I wouldn’t recommend to New Yorkers, based on the federal government’s opinion,” he said after hearing of the FDA’s potential approval of a vaccine.

“New York State will have its own review when the federal government is finished with their review and says it’s safe,” the bloviating governor said.

That’s rich, recalling how New York’s health department was out-to-lunch when it came time to react to the virus.  If it wasn’t for the federal government and a more than cooperative President Trump, New York would be in a much worse situation today.

Back to those nursing home deaths. While some 120,000 people are said to have died in nursing homes nationally, the exact number of deaths in New York is not being released.  But it’s high, and it’s outrageous.

THEN THERE’S City of New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, who has now announced that there will be no New Year’s celebration in Times Square. There will be a ball drop, but you will have to watch it on television.  New York’s indoor restaurants remain closed, and when the weather gets cooler, their sidewalk cafes will be closing. Broadway Theaters and the Metropolitan Opera will remain closed until next Spring, and there will be no Thanksgiving Day Parade, as least as we once knew it.

Meanwhile, business and individuals are leaving the rotting apple.

WHILE DEMOCRAT SEN. CHUCK SCHUMER accuses President Trump of politicizing the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court during an election campaign, he didn’t waste any time to send out a fund-raising e-mail to fellow leftists.  To pay for anti-Barrett television commercials, no doubt.

HERE’S AN EXAMPLE of the type of things to come in an effort to destroy Amy Coney Barrett.  Leftist John Lee Brougher, writing @johnbrougher said: “As an adoptee, I need to know about the circumstances of how Amy Coney Barrett came to adopt her children, and the treatment of them since.

“Transracial adoption is fraught with trauma and potential for harm, and everything I see here is deeply concerning,” he added without citing evidence.

Funny.  I don’t recall anyone having concern for the late John McCain’s three adopted children, including Sidney, a daughter adopted in Bangladesh.

Barrett will ably account for herself during the hearings, no matter what the Democrats throw at her.

May God continue to bless the United States of America.
