C’MON JOE, you continue to lie, saying that President Trump has no plan for the distribution of the vaccine for Covid-19 once it’s produced. It again shows how out of touch you are in Wilmington, Delaware. Or, is it Scranton?
As part of Operation Warp Speed, the administration’s effort to accelerate the development and distribution of the vaccine, on July 21, 2020, the president, in an unprecedented move, gave the Defense Department control over logistics in distributing the Covid-19 vaccine, working with the CDC when it becomes available.
Perhaps you were out getting ice cream that day, but where were you on October 16, 2020 when President Trump was briefing seniors on his plan in Fort Meyers, Florida. It was televised on Fox News Channel, but it’s possibly not offered in Delaware’s network offerings.
The president spoke of the HHS private-public partnership, working with CVS and Walgreens, to deliver the vaccine to nursing homes and assisted-living facilities across the country to administer the injections at no cost.
“My message to American seniors today is one of optimism, confidence and hope,” he said. “The plan is, of course, contingent on a vaccine getting the green light from the Food and Drug Administration.”
IN THE MEANTIME, Joe Biden, in the last debate, painted a picture of doom and gloom for a “Dark Winter.”
WITH HELP FROM THE MEDIA, the Biden-Harris campaign is continuing with its Covid-19 scare tactics. While everyone expected the number of cases to rise with increased testing, the media is playing the increase to the hilt.
“Covid-19 cases show upward trend in Arizona,” read the lead headline on page one of the Arizona Republic, but it wasn’t until paragraph 17 that readers are informed that the positive diagnostic tests went up from four percent to five percent, and that was of two weeks ago. Finally, in paragraph 37, they reveal the latest number of cases. They call their “rag” a newspaper.
THERE’S MORE – With the Republic’s publishing relationship with the leftist USA Today, there were two more scare pieces, “US marks single-day Covid-19 case record,” and “Covid-19 colors final days of race.”
I MISSED IT – I just learned that Washington State’s Democrat Sen. Patty Murray, the third-ranking (how scary) Democrat in the Senate, tweeted, “Judge Barrett using this phrase (sexual preference) is shameful and offensive, and it tells us exactly what we need to know about how she views the LGBTQIA+ community.”
She joined Senators Mazie Hirono and Cory Booker in the criticism.
When Hirono was informed that Joe Biden, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg had used the term “preference,” she was asked if Biden should apologize as she insisted of Judge Barrett? “Oh, stop it,” she curtly responded.
Interestingly, on that day, “In Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, the word “preference” carried no negative connotation when used to refer to sexual orientation,” wrote John McCormack in National Review. However, one day later, the dictionary redefined the word “preference” as “offensive” when used to refer to “sexual orientation.”
LISA MURKOWSKI, the Senator from Alaska, who is always ready to criticize the Republican Party, like McCain, Flake and Romney, says she will now vote to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett, but her future is seriously tainted now.
“She switched sides so Alaskans couldn’t throw her out of office for voting against a second Trump Supreme Court nominee,” writes Sean Davis, The Federalist. I wouldn’t be so sure that they have had enough of her antics.
“The only reason she’s flipped is because she lacks the power to execute her will, and she wants to save herself in the process,” writes Bonchie in Red State. “Alaskans should wise up and throw her out anyway via the primary the next go around. Enough is enough. It’s one thing to be free thinker on some topics. It’s another to so thoroughly and consistently oppose the interests of your voters.”
THE WASHINGTON MONTHLY, a center left publication in the nation’s capital, reported this week that “Donald Trump has a real shot at being reelected.” Remember my grain of salt caution when it comes to polls.
The Monthly reminds its readers that Trump’s favorability rating around Election Day in 2016 was 37.5 percent, and now it is 43.2 percent. “There are, in fact, hundreds of thousands of Americans (if not millions) who have grown fonder of Trump,” writes Steven Waldman.
After his review of the candidate’s position in the battleground states as he sees it, he says “the Biden edge is much smaller than most of the analysis has suggested,” but adds that if the election were held today (October 21, 2020) Joe Biden would probably win.”
LAUGH OF THE DAY – When I heard that a woman had ridiculed President Trump over his debate remark about coyotes who get paid to bring children across our southern border with her tweet @DarshunKenrick, I wasn’t aware that she was a Democrat state representative of Georgia.
In case you haven’t heard about it, Dar’shun Kendrick asked “How in hell does a coyote bring a whole human across the border? Lord … stop talking.”
“Who wants to tell her?” tweeted @OrdyPackard, and @Political Cow, she was told “I think you just tanked your career as a politician in a single tweet.”
May God continue to bless the United States of America.
