RAPHAEL WARNOCK, a Senator … if that prospect isn’t scary enough for you, how would you like to pick up the phone and hear, “Hello, Georgia. This is Michelle Obama …” followed by a plea for you to vote for him in the January 5, 2021 runoff election?
That’s the same Michelle Obama who, in August 2020, while admitting that she was suffering from a “low-grade depression” over the actions of the Trump administration, and claimed that “white America” acts like black women don’t exist.
Then there’s Barack Obama, who recently stated that whites were spooked by a black man in the White House. If that were so, Barack, how in hell did you get elected for two terms? And how were you voted Gallup’s “most admired” over those 12 years?
Now these two narcissists want Georgian whites to vote for Warnock, who said that Americans need to “repent” for supporting Donald Trump and for the country’s “worship of whiteness.”
REVISITING CLIMATE CHANGE, AGAIN – At Toyota’s year-end press conference, CEO Akio Toyoda (sic) was seemingly in agreement with Tesla’s Elon Musk, who you may recall from my December 3, 2020 blog, believes the move from combustion to electric cars will take “two decades or longer.” Much longer, I added.
Electric vehicles are not powered by magical unicorn emissions, he said, they are powered by the means we use to generate electricity, and Toyoda reminded that in Japan, the United States and everywhere else, it’s fossil fuels that make up a huge majority of electric power generation – 61 percent – while wind and solar make up about 17 percent. Displacing gasoline or diesel will require a dramatic expansion of electric generation.
Toyoda also referenced the thousands of system parts and interior furnishings in his cars and trucks that are made from petroleum, and there’s no reliable or economical replacement for that ingredient.
He worries that over-zealous green politicians will wreck modern industry.
THEN THERE’S THIS about global warming, the concern of climate change activists who are advocating the move to electric vehicles. Two recently published studies confirm that the climate thousands of years ago was as warm or warmer than todays. Before industrialization and SUVs.
One study discusses the period know as the Roman Warming when it was the warmest in the last 2,000 years. The second study provides evidence that it was just as warm up to 6,000 years ago.
The first study was the result of reconstructing sea surface temperatures in the Mediterranean Sea over the past 5,300 years and the study of fossilized amoeba skeletons found in seabed sediments.
In the second study, archaeologists in Norway discovered arrows, arrowheads, clothing and other artifacts unearthed by receding ice in a mountainous region of the country, where ice once covered the ground.
Yet, the pseudo scientists in the Biden camp continue to consider climate change a vital concern to life as we know it as they embark on their costly, unattainable goal of carbon-free power by 2035.
NEARLY 150 REPUBLICANS are reportedly now on board to challenge the results of the Electoral College on January 6, 2021.
While considered by many to be a futile effort to overturn the election, it is also an opportunity many see as a means for revealing the voting irregularities in a dozen states.
It’s ironic that Vice President Pence and Nancy Pelosi are in agreement on his role as president of the Senate in the vote challenge. Pelosi asked the court to reject a petition from the Republicans that requests judges to say Pence has the authority to reject some electoral votes.
Pence’s counsel had already asked the judge to reject the effort to give him exclusive authority to decide which votes should be counted.
It’s refreshing, however, to see so many GOP members desirous to reveal the voting irregularities that haven’t been covered by the Democrat controlled media.
ON NEW YEAR’S EVE DAY, a poll observer in Cobb County Georgia revealed irregularities during a hand recount of absentee ballots. In addition to noting the high number of votes for Biden in this traditionally Republican county, she said that “about 90 percent of them had no paper folds,” which means that they were not mailed in an envelope as is required by law. Hmmmmm.
I FOUND IT INTERESTING that the left-leaning Arizona Republic published letters to the editor critical of Cindy McCain. You may recall my December 27, 2020 piece on her move to the political left, claiming she endorsed Joe Biden “for the country.”
One writer criticized the Republic for referring to her as true patriot, when in fact “she is the ultimate RINO and ultimate hypocrite,” and disagreeing with the paper’s view that she is “very popular with the people of Arizona.” “I don’t think so,” the writer added.
Another writer, citing McCain’s choice of Biden was done “for her country,” wondered who she is endorsing in the Georgia race for control of the Senate.”
Still another writer suggested that “perhaps you could now set your sights on saving the universe.”
There’s still no word on what position Biden will offer McCain for her loyalty.
LAUGH OF THE DAY – Democrat Nancy Pelosi said she wouldn’t want to be part of a rubber stamp, lock step party.
May God continue to bless the United States of America.
