APRIL FOOL’S DAY – The History website states that the tradition of people playing practical jokes on each other began on April 1, 1700 in England. It’s also known as “All Fool’s Day,” the site notes, and has been celebrated for several centuries by different cultures, but its exact origin remains a mystery.
