COMMENTARY: Those Phony Charges of Voter Suppression and Racism

IT’S MALARKY, to borrow a term from our puppet President Joe Biden.  The left is intentionally peddling misinformation.

When Republicans talk about voter-ID, signature verification, early poll closings, reducing early voting days, and limiting no-excuse ballot requests, the left shouts voter suppression, disenfranchising minority voters, and racism.

However, a close look at voting rules in their blue states reveals that they, too, are then guilty as charged.

Republicans want better voter identification tied to those voting by mail, providing some form of ID, like a driver’s license number or the last four digits of a social security number.

‘If that’s racist,” notes Karl Rove,” then (blue states like) New Jersey, Virginia and California are suppression hotbeds.

In the increasingly blue state of Colorado, where elections are primarily by mail, they have the toughest signature verification requirements. In the 2020 election, Colorado found that one in every 112 ballots – 29,000 – were rejected because of a mismatch in signatures.

Democrats are also critical of states closing poll locations at 8 p.m. rather than 9 p.m., yet that is the practice in the Democrat states of California, Delaware, Rhode Island, Michigan, Minnesota, Maryland and Washington.  Democrats controlling Colorado and Hawaii have ordered their polls to close even earlier – 7 p.m.

Reducing the number of early voting day limits has the left upset with those states cutting the days from 29 to 20 days If that’s suppression, they need to be reminded that blue states New York, Maryland, Hawaii, Delaware and the District of Columbia, and Wisconsin all have shorter cutoff dates.

No-excuse absentee ballot requests are not allowed in New York, Connecticut and Delaware and 15 other states.  So, are they racist?

So, while we oppose federal rule of the voting process, we must continue to press for integrity in the voting process in every state, and ignore the racist remarks of  Nancy Pelosi, and her voter suppression peddler in Georgia, Stacy Abrams.

Sooner or later, minorities are going to recognize that the Democrat Party is insulting their intelligence with their insinuations that they are unable to understand voting rules.  Their claims of voter suppression, disenfranchising and racism are more than malarky … they are BS.

SPEAKING OF “RACIST,” have you heard that racial and inequality is embedded in  our fossil fuel economy?  So say Rep. Alexandra Ocasio Cortez and Sen. Elizabeth Warren while introducing a new bill that would “invest” (hold onto your wallets) $500 billion to “create” so-called green jobs.

BIDEN’S DUMBEST LINE in his first press conference was when he made an absurd attack on Republican efforts to strengthen election integrity in various states, again referencing Jim Crow, according to Matt Margolis at PJ Media.

It either reveals just how out of touch he is, or his determination to use the Pelosi and Schumer talking points, because 75 percent of all voters support voter-ID laws.

COMING IN SECOND was Biden’s “expectation” that he would run again in 2024, with the follow-on assertion that there may not be a Republican Party.

“THE WORST POSSIBLE CHOICE,” was Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey’s response to Biden’s naming of Vice President Harris to solve the southern border issue.

Rather than show his intent of taking the crisis seriously, “he’s actually done the complete opposite by selecting Vice President Harris to lead on this issue.  He has completely trivialized this issue by putting someone in charge who flat out, just doesn’t care,” said the border governor.

To make matters worse, Biden said, “when she speaks, they don’t have to wonder, is that where the president is.  When she speaks, she speaks for me.”

And in other news …

WOULDN’T YOU THINK the president would want to get some people around him who can pull the strings?  While he did name individuals to his top defense, national security and homeland security positions, the deputies, senior aides and lieutenants who do much of the day-to-day work haven’t even been nominated, pushing any confirmation into the fall.

Of more than 300 positions in key agencies, President Biden has nominated just 16, according to the Wall Street Journal.  Just one ambassador of the 90 posts awaiting nominees, has been named.  Could it be that he ran out of “people who look like America?”

More importantly, Biden has not named secretaries of the Army, Navy, Air Force or Homeland Security’s cyber wing.  I would have thought some consideration would have been given to individuals for these positions in the 75 days between his election and inauguration. Now it appears as though they will not be in place for another 75 to 100 days.

NO TEARS – CNN’s “Reliable Sources” with far-left host, Brian Stelter, had its lowest rated show of the year this past Sunday, failing to crack the one-million viewer plateau for the second straight week.  He has lost 65 percent of his viewers since losing President Trump as his hate target.

Now, more than ever … may God continue to bless the United States of America.
