THOSE BIDEN JOBS CLAIMS – You’ve heard them, and questioned them as I have, I’m sure. Well, now some in the media are beginning to take a close look at those numbers. “Biden Keeps Making the Same Dubious Jobs Claim,” was the headline on the Daily Caller’s analysis.
“We’re now the first administration in history to add jobs every single month in our six months in office, and the only one in history to add more than four million jobs during the first six months,” said Biden
The official government data shows that between January and June 2021, the number of employed Americans rose from 142.7 million to 145.8 million, a gain of just over 3 million.
While Biden likes to tout his jobs gains as a success of Build Back Better, the U.S. economy is still nearly 6.8 million jobs below the pre-pandemic peak … 142.8 million jobs in June 2021, compared with 152.5 million jobs in February 2020.
In a fact check by WRAL, it was noted that if gains can be replicated each month, it would take until February 2020 for all pre-pandemic jobs to be recovered.
We should have expected Biden to stumble over the subject of jobs, after this laughable quote:
“Jobs … a three-letter word … jobs.” – Joe Biden August 26, 2015
INDEPENDENT VOTERS, those credited by some responsible for helping Democrats take the White House and both chambers of Congress, are beginning to move to the right.
Biden has a 44 percent approval/49 percent disapproval rating with Independents, according to a July 31-August 2 Morning Consult/Politico poll.
Since April, his approval rating has dropped 18 percentage points among unaffiliated voters. “If that number (44 percent) dips into the high 30s, it spells trouble ahead,” according to David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center.
HAVE YOU HEARD about the case of United States v. Couy Griffin? It’s not surprising. Griffin, an elected county commissioner for Otero County, New Mexico, a former pastor, and the founder of “Cowboys for Trump,” was charged with entering a restricted area outside the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Griffin, who never entered the Capitol building, was released on February 5, 2021, having served three weeks in federal custody for nothing more than a simple trespass. Only he wasn’t trespassing. Evidence shows that Capitol Police officers were allowing protestors to enter the so-called “restricted” area. Importantly, Griffin was not asked to leave the area.
During a February 5, 2021 bail hearing, Griffin was released pending trial, which now looks iffy, not only because of the weak case against him, but the surfacing of images of officers hugging and fist-bumping rioters, posing for selfies with rioters, and moving bike racks to ease admission.
THE MEDIA seems to be finally acknowledging the problem we are facing on the southern border as the number if illegals crossing the border is at its highest point in 20 years.
The Washington Post editorial board has demanded a “cohesive border strategy” from the Biden administration, something kramerontheright declared should have been ready to implement when Biden took office.
But don’t get excited. While CNN’s Brianna Keilar, said the president “has a real problem on his hands,” during a mere 20-second report, the network was running a chyron, “Biden’s Border Crisis Met with Incendiary Rhetoric from Right,” across the bottom of the screen.
“THE SQUAD” will no longer be used in this blog as a reference to the handful of female socialists in Congress.
I have often thought it was a misnomer. It’s often used in connection with sports teams, but I know a squad as a small military unit, usually made up of 10 warriors with at least two fire teams.
To associate the likes of Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez with such a team is simply ludicrous.
Thanks to Tyrus, the professional wrestler who has found a home on Fox News Channel, with regular appearances on the Greg Gutfeld late show, because of his well-thought-out thinking and quick wit, for providing me the impetus to consider my future use of “squad.”
“Stop calling them the squad … stop giving them clout …” he said, “they’re just ordinary individuals … and some day people in their district will eventually vote them out.”
WHILE MASK OR NO MASK for students going back to school continues to be a controversy, Oregon Gov. Kate Brown signed a bill that states “a student may not be required to show proficiency in Essential Learning Skills as a condition of receiving a high school diploma” through the next three school years.
The move follows Oregon State University and the University of Oregon going “test optional” last year, meaning that applicants to those schools are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores.
Colorado State and the University of Colorado have also dropped the requirement for SAT and ACT scores.
A student’s grade for missing class, missing assignments, or failing to participate in class will not get their grade docked in the Clark County School District of Nevada.
In Baltimore, nearly half of students in one Baltimore high school have 0.99 GPA or lower. Of nine 11th graders completing a reading assessment, just two scored at high school level, one scored at a 7th grade level, while the other six scored at elementary school level.
In math, seven students completed the assessment, revealing that just two scored at a high school level, the rest (high school juniors in Baltimore city schools) scored at an elementary level, including one doing first-grade level.
AND NOW, Congress is considering a massive bill that would include $726 billion to send those send these students and those from other pathetic public schools to community colleges tuition-free. Makes sense, huh? I wonder if they can spell “jobs.”
Now, more than ever … may God continue to bless the United States of America.
