If you watched Bret Baier’s two-part interview with former President Trump, you saw something you couldn’t see if Baier was questioning President Biden. For an hour, Trump answered the questions head on. Biden has refused Baier’s requests to interview him.
As I look at the line-up of 2024 Republican presidential candidates, committed and uncommitted, I simply don’t see one individual with the breadth of knowledge, domestic and foreign, ready to lead our party, let alone win. While there are some good people in that line-up, I cannot name one who could have withstood the years of slander Trump faced.
As the 2024 election looms, Trump’s poll numbers remain solid despite two impeachment trials, Liz Cheney’s Jan.6 show trial, and now, a series of indictments, designed to keep him out of the White House.
The Washington establishment, the Deep State, is “out to take him out of the running by mobilizing the police power of the state against him,” writes Roger Kimball in American Greatness.
Sadly, the Deep State is aided by a national media so intellectually dishonest that half of the country will not be getting the truth.
Lee Smith, author of book “The Permanent Coup: How Enemies Foreign and Domestic Targeted the American President,” recently wrote an op-ed in Tablet Magazine in which he states, “Biden’s Justice Department views Trump as a traitor, and views Trump’s supporters the same way.”
He writes of how the nation’s laws are being manipulated to designate the leader of a movement representing one half of the country a traitor.
The Wall Street Journal sees it as a “fraught moment for American democracy. For the first time in U.S. history, the prosecutorial power of the federal government has been used against a former president who is also running against a sitting president.”
“Old Washington” heard Trump’s drain the swamp pledge in 2016 and we saw how its power players tried to stop him from being elected. They know he intends to take up where he left off if elected in 2024.
“What we need now is a bold new Hercules who can cleanse the Augean stables on the Potomac. It seems unlikely, I know, and perhaps supremely ironical, but the name of that cleansing hero may just be Donald J. Trump.” – Roger Kimball, American Greatness
More than ever, we need to restore true justice to our Department of Justice. While an alleged involvement of President Biden with his son, Hunter, in a bribery scheme is left to gather dust in the DOJ, we see Hunter get his hands slapped for tax evasion and illegal gun possesion that would put most of us in jail.
We also see clear evidence of a two-tier justice system in the judicial overreach of Trump’s mishandling of documents compared to that of both Bill and Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Mike Pence.
Certainly, Americans must see all of this as a plot orchestrated to keep Trump from running and getting elected.
Let’s hope the courts recognize this sham indictment for what it is, and shut it down. In the meantime, Judicial Watch will continue to hold the Biden administration accountable for its role in the worst corruption scandal in American history – the effort to abuse and destroy President Trump.” – Tom Fitton, President of Judicial Watch
Ponder This – Coincidentally, during President Biden’s appearance in West Hartford, Connecticut on Friday, he said, “My dad used to say, the single worst abuse of all was the abuse of power.”
May God continue to bless the United States of America.
