President Biden’s Daily Gaffe’s, Myths and Outright Lies Becoming More Tiresome

Commentary

Okay … I will begin with what I will call a pretense emanating from Biden’s staff. They peddled a story to Men’s Journal about those Sketchers sneakers the president was wearing as he stepped off Air Force One at Dover AFB, Delaware.

A pretense because they want us to believe that it was simply “time to loosen up a little bit” wearing those “rocking casual sneakers more often,” when we all know it was an accommodation to the aging Biden, who has made one too many missteps.

While the left- leaning Politico noted that Biden “used to always resist wearing anything other than dress shoes, believing that any other footwear look was unpresidential,” he has probably heard the Washington pundits wonder if he is “one more fall away from being replaced on the ballot.”

Bidenomics

President Biden made another visit to the friendly surrounds of Philadelphia in an attempt to convince his supporters that Bidenomics is working, and in doing so he again claimed that his plan has resulted in 13 million new jobs across the country, including 800,000 manufacturing jobs, more jobs in two years than any president has created in a four-year term.  Adding that wages are growing faster than inflation.

“Bidenomics,” Biden says, “ is just another way of saying ‘Restoring the American Dream.”  That dream is built on his “middle out and bottom up” is a fabrication.

Writer Lisa De Pasquale noted on Twitter that real wages adjusted for inflation were $11.15 on March 15, 2020, when U.S. Covid  lockdowns began, and as of July 16, 2023, real wages are $11.05.  She further noted that prices have risen faster under Biden in 2.5 years than under any other president’s entire four years dating back to the eighties.  “Bidenomics is a failure & Americans are literally paying dearly for it,” she wrote.

Wall Street Journal has questioned his claims and the Washington Post referred to the “bottomless Pinocchio’s” they have awarded him, like his repeated mentions of lowering gas prices at the pump, that are still higher than the $2.48 average during the week he took office.

Our “Investment” in Clean Energy

Biden also likes to talk about how our investment in clean energy and manufacturing has attracted private investment.  Although our $387 billion investment in clean energy includes $16 billion in new offshore wind projects, it is primarily to provide for the expansion of electric vehicle production and the batteries and charging stations to support them.

The Wall Street Journal reports, however, that while we “unleashed a torrent of government subsidies to help the U.S. build clean-energy industries, the biggest beneficiaries so far have been foreign companies.  Those “good paying jobs here at home” Biden talks about are not occurring.

“All of this will put us on a path to 100 percent clean energy (electricity) by 2035.  By 2035, all of electricity – you turn on any – is all going to be clean energy.” – President Biden

… and in Semiconductor Chips

Biden never misses the opportunity to speak about returning semiconductor manufacturing to America, and touts how the CHIPS and Science Act provides $52.7 billion for American semiconductor research, development, manufacturing, and workforce development, in Arizona and Ohio.

Yet we learned last week that the Arizona chip maker, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., plans to miss its target and isn’t likely to see production until 2025 due rising costs and a shortage of various types of skilled workers.  In fact, TSMC has revealed that it may have to bring in experienced technicians from Taiwan.

Of course, Olivia Dalton, the deputy White House press secretary, seemingly poo poohed this concern, stating, “We believe strongly  – we’re still confident” that TSMC will have the workforce it needs and will follow through on its commitments.

Biden’s Climate Hoax

Though Biden’s Philadelphia appearance was to convince his union supporters there that he had their backs on “good union jobs,” because of the heat wave, he felt the need to stray into global warming stating, “it can’t be denied by anybody, anymore.” It’s cyclical, Joe. Deaths from heat and cold waves have decreased 90 percent in the past century.

Xi Jinping’s climate advisors sent Biden’s climate czar John Kerry home with his tail between his legs after four days in China, where he never had a meeting with Xi himself.

AN OBVIOUS DISGRUNTLED KERRY.

While Kerry had to concede there were no immediate breakthroughs, he said the “productive” conversations were enough to convince him that regular meetings with the Chinese are hopeful.  So, he can again jump into his private jet and return to the Communists country where Kerry expressed a reluctance to refer to Xi as a dictator.

It’s fruitless.  Xi stated that China’s climate commitments are “unswerving,” reiterating that China would resist pressure from other nations to adjust its targets or plans. “The path, method, pace and intensity to achieve this goal should and must be determined by ourselves and will never be influence by others,” he added.

Unlike Biden, Xi intends to continue using coal power until electricity generation by renewables is reliable and sufficient to meet his country’s demands.

Biden concluded his Philadelphia appearance with that familiar quote by his Dad about “dignity”- “Joey, a job is about a lot more than a paycheck.  It’s about your dignity.”

One of Biden’s speechwriters should remind him that dignity also refers to the state or quality of being worthy of honor or respect, a form of dignity he doesn’t express with his gaffes, myths and outright lies.

May God continue to bless the United States of America.
