Devastating and Embarrassing: Special Counsel Tells World Our President is a Sympathetic Character

Commentary

You may recall how President Biden told world leaders at the G7 summit that “America was back,” and he repeatedly told us how he has restored their confidence in the U.S.

On Thursday, however, Special Counsel Robert K. Hur, investigating the presidents mishandling of classified documents, said “We have considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

I want to draw your attention to the similarities in the cases of Hillary Clinton and President Biden and their mishandling of classified material are so compelling that I needed to refresh your memories.

On Hillary Clinton

“Although there is evidence of potential violations regarding the handling of classified information, our judgement is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such as case.”

“Although the Department of Justice makes final decisions on matters like this, we are expressing to Justice in our view that no charges are appropriate in this case.”– James Comey, FBI Director

Excerpts from FBI Report

“Although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information.  There is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information.”

On Joe Biden

“We conclude that no criminal charges are warranted in this matter.”

“We have considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” – Robert Hur, Special Counsel, the Biden investigation

What a pathetic epithet for the world to read and hear about our current president of the United States.

Regarding a successful trial of Biden, former deputy independent prosecutor Sol Wisenberg said it depends if there was a rational jury instead of one that was partisan.

Excerpts from Special Counsel Report

“Our investigation uncovered evidence that President Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen.”

“He knew he kept classified information in notebooks stored in his house and he knew he was not allowed to do so.  But that evidence does not establish Mr. Biden’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.”

“Mr. Biden knew he had possession of the classified Afghanistan documents after the vice presidency and chose to keep those documents, knowing he was violating the law.”

Biden: “People know I take classified documents, classified information seriously.” – January 10, 2023

There’s More

During a September 2023 appearance on CBS 60 Minutes, Biden mused “How one, anyone could be that irresponsible,” when asked about the documents found in the possession of former President Trump.  “I thought what data was in there that may compromise sources and methods.  Totally irresponsible.”

When asked about the documents found in his Delaware home during a January 12, 2023, press conference, Biden cavalierly said, “My Corvette’s in a locked garage, so it’s not like they’re sitting on the street.”

Case Closed

“I was pleased to see they reached the conclusion I believed all along they would reach – that there would be no charges brought in this case and the matter is now closed,” said President Biden on the release of the special counsel’s report.

Sadly, in his address to the nation Thursday evening, the president chose to blame members of his staff for stashing those documents in his garage.

In former President Trump’s response to the report, he quoted special counsel statements about Biden willfully retaining classified documents before again reminding voters of the two-tiered system of justice and selective prosecution.

May God continue to bless the United States of America.
