Immigration rhetoric, Newsom in a laugher, McCaskill slow learner, Trump speaks, and suspicions heightened at CBS News

Blood on Their Hands

Democrats are calling foul on Republicans who, following the murder of the Georgia nursing student by an illegal, are accusing the Biden administration of having “blood on their hands” because of its open-door policy.

But it’s alright for them to use that that term when Republicans are holding up negotiations for more funds for Ukraine.

Regarding the growing numbers of killings by illegals across the nation; there are homicides, but also deaths from automobile accidents.  And let’s not forget the sex trafficking, rapes and deaths caused by smuggled drugs.

No doubt, most of the deaths could have been prevented with a secure border. I, too, blame Biden’s Day 1 executive order, revoking, former President Trump’s border policies, which I view as act of vengeance.

I’ve saved some blame, however, for the bleeding-heart liberals operating as NGOs, who welcome illegals with open arms and transport them to a communities across the nation.  Who’s funding them?

Examining the Scope of the Problem

“Under President Biden, over 7.2 million illegal immigrants have entered the U.S. from February 2021 to January 2024, exceeding the populations of 36 states, according to Townhall.  And that’s not counting some one million “gotaways.”

I continue to ask, ‘where’s the outrage?’  Yes, Americans have apparently elevated “Immigration” as the number one priority going into the elections.  But it’s not enough.

No, I’m not advocating another January 6 siege of the capitol, or the White House, but we are not being heard.  We shouldn’t have to wait until November 5, to make our point with votes.

There’s word that Biden will finally visit the border where millions of migrants have illegally crossed our border for months.  Obviously, an election ploy.  Too late.

From “Meet the Depressed”

Appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” California’s Gov. Gavin Newsom gave an endorsement of President Biden that was over the top.

“There are some pretty stark numbers that you’re facing … 76 percent of voters say they have real concerns about President Biden’s ability to serve a second term,” said host Kristen Welker. “Do you think it’s responsible for Democrats to put him at the top of the ticket, given those concerns?” she asked.

“Responsible?  I revere his record.  I mean it’s … what he’s done in three years has been masterclass,” he began his response. “The economy is booming.  Inflation is cooling,” he said, as he gave questionable numbers on jobs and the return of manufacturing, he noted that it was “all because of Biden’s wisdom, because of his temperance, his capacity to lead in a bipartisan manner.

“So, the answer is ‘absolutely all in” in terms of the next four years with Joe Biden,” he concluded.

Welker persisted, asking if Biden needs to do more to show voters what others say in private – that he strong, in command and forceful.

“I think he’s doing everything he needs to do,” said Newsom. Repeating, “he’s got an extraordinary record. I’ve seen him up close. I’ve seen him from afar.  Here’s my point: it’s because of his age that he’s been so successful.  It’s because of his wisdom and the character that’s developed over years.  And because we’ve seen bipartisan accomplishments, because of his capacity of understanding, because of his leadership.

“So, the opportunity to express that for four more years, what a gift it is for the American people.  And as a Democrat, what a gift it is for me to make the case for the leader of our party, Joe Biden.”

Not Ready for Prime Time

Democrat Claire McCaskill, who lost her seat in the Senate representing Missouri to Republican Josh Hawley in 2018, largely due to as full-court press by then President Trump, still has a problem with her mouth as a political analyst at MSNBC.

CLAIRE MCCASKILL

McCaskill attempted to campaign as an independent who would work with Trump, saying she wasn’t “one of those crazy Democrats,” didn’t work.  She turned around and voted against Trump’s two Supreme Court nominees and the GOP tax plan.

Last week, during an appearance on “Morning Joe,” she unloaded on the New York Times for fact-checking Joe Biden on something, “ridiculous,” while insisting that the paper should be fact-checking Trump every morning.  The Times published a fact check on Biden’s misleading statements.

In losing to Hawley, she said, I know my mouth gets me in trouble a lot” but added “I’m not going away.” Now, at the left-leaning MSNBC, her few viewers can fact check her.

Trump Speaks

During Laura Ingraham’s televised interview with former President Trump in South Carolina, he politely responded to a query from a woman in the audience concerning his plan for retribution with “I’ll do it with success.”

Trump continues to distrust mail-in voting, saying, “If you have mail-in voting, you automatically have fraud.  He repeated it to an audience of Christian broadcasters.

“Dozens of judges have ruled against his perspective and his claims were never substantiated,” wrote the leftist Maggie Haberman of the New York Times, but as I have noted a number of times, there were a number of mail-in problems in 2020, just not of significant magnitude to change a vote outcome.

From the Left

CATHERINE HERRIDGE

I was disappointed when Catherine Herridge left Fox News Channel after 23 years to join CBSin 2019.  She is a top-notch investigative reporter.  Since I do not watch CBS, I’ve lost track of her reporting, but last week I learned she had been fired (laid off).

When others at CBS heard that her records had been seized, it sent a “chilling signal” throughout the organization.  Journalists are generally allowed leave with their files.

There are suspicions in Washington that she was pursuing stories unwelcomed by the Biden White House, despite reports of pushback by CBS executives.

May God continue to bless the United States of America.
