At a time when most of us have become weary over what’s happening to our great nation, with the woke mentality, the rewriting of our history, and an administration that is taking us down a path to disaster as it attempts to radically transform our democracy, we do need to wake up.
Ben Domenech, the publisher of the Federalist, eloquently devoted time to encourage just that as the host of Fox Primetime topic An American Crisis. Concluding his Memorial Day monologue, he said, “It’s time to wake up. It’s time to get off the mat. It’s time to be the Americans you are called back to be, and take back the country you love.”
He followed on Tuesday with a vivid reminder of the unity brought to our nation by President Kennedy’s memorable speech calling for us to rally around an effort to go to the moon. As Domenech detailed that unifying moment in history with Kennedy’s words of encouragement and challenge, I thought of Biden’s failure to unify us as promised.
In a not-so-subtle reference to President Biden, Domenech recalled that Kennedy, rather than stoking the divisions of race or class, and rather than a series of apologies, and hand-wringing of sins of the past, he focused our energies toward an incredible goal.
“The American spirit is still there,” said Domenech. “It still runs deep in the heart of this nation, and we need to honor around it again. It will require more than a fine speech by a politician … it will require you … it will require you to wake up,” as he pointed his finger, appealing to viewers.
While Domenech was likely fine tuning his monologue for the evening broadcast, President Biden was speaking in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where a unity speech was called for on the 100-year anniversary of the horrific race massacre.
But, no. His speech was filled with division and the hand-wringing of sins of the past that Domenech referred to in his monologue. Biden resurrected the false story of the riots of Charlottesville, and even felt the need to repeat his ludicrous February state of the union remark that “terrorism from white supremacy is the most lethal threat to the homeland today. Not ISIS. Not Al Qaeda. White supremacists.”
Just one month prior to his state of the union remark, while preparing to sign a series of executive orders addressing climate change, Biden said they were designed “to confront the existential threat of climate change … and it is an existential threat.”
Where’s the real threat, Prez ? This is Wednesday … is it white supremacy or climate change?
“Why is he (Biden) doing this to us?” said Tucker Carlson Wednesday evening.
Domenech continued his series on An American Crisis with his views of the idiots we listen to in our bureaucracy, with his insight on Dr. Fauci.
I am hopeful that Domenech will close out his stint as the guest host of Fox Primetime this week with further words of encouragement to each of us.
In view of what happened in Washington on January 6, 2021, one has to be careful in encouraging Americans to “wake up” and to “take back your country.” What’s needed is introspection, not insurrection. Americans need to examine their state of mind on how they view the peaceful restoration of the making America great again agenda.
I will continue to provide encouragement with optimism, while providing insight on how the opposition is determined to destroy the America we have loved.
Evidence like this …
THE ANTI-AMERICAN IMPACT our college and university professors have on our children surfaced again on Memorial Day, when Addison Smith of Campus Reform went to Georgetown University to see if students would sign a petition to “unrecognize Memorial Day as a federal holiday.”
Fifty signatures were garnered as students signed on with enthusiasm. “I don’t think Memorial Day should be a thing we celebrate … I feel like it’s a celebration of U.S. imperialism and colonialism,” one student said. “I didn’t really think in this way until I got to college, and like, I took women’s and gender studies classes, and that put me on this path.”
When Smith asked a student if he would support a total abolition of the United States military, he quickly responded, “yes, please.”
There is no question in my mind that our colleges, universities and high schools have become the havens for anti-American indoctrination.
Now, more than ever … may God continue to bless the United States of America.
