Charlie Christ, once a Republican now a Democrat running for Florida’s 13th Congressional District, drew an uproar of laughter during a recent debate when he made a statement regarding his support of Hillary Clinton. “The thing I like most about her is she’s steady. I believe she is strong. I believe she is honest.”
Gloria Steinem, appearing at a recent gala celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Greater Memphis Planned Parenthood, said, “Forced childbirth is the single biggest cause of global warming.” Earlier, she attributed global warming to the teachings of the Catholic Church on the sanctity of human life.
President Obama, addressing the Congressional Black Caucus, said, “I will consider it a personal insult – an insult to my legacy – if this community lets down its guard and fails to activate itself in this election.”
Hillary Clinton, tells a campaign audience that “the Affordable Healthcare Act (ObamaCare) was one of Obama’s key accomplishments.”

The Letters to the Editor column in Thursday’s Wall Street Journal published several interesting letters in response to the op-eds written by former Defense Secretary Robert Gates and columnist Peggy Noonan, capsulized in my Sept. 18, post, “Noonan trumps Gates.”
“As an advisor to Mr. Trump, I can say with complete confidence that if Mr. Gates had attempted to bring his thoughtful views to Mr. Trump, he would have had a thoughtful audience. Mr. Trump would generally accept Mr. Gates description of the sad state of the world. – Maj. Gen. Bret Mizusawa (Ret.)
Responding to Gates statement that Clinton “has time before the election to address forthrightly her trustworthiness,” Peter Skurkiss wrote, “That train left the station years ago – polls show about 66 per cent of American believe Mrs. Clinton is untrustworthy and dishonest.”
Recalling the poor foreign policy record of the Obama-Clinton-Kerry team, Charles F. Falk wrote, “Look at the past seven and a half years. Will electing Mrs. Clinton in November assure continuance of these successes? The world is on fire. I’ll skip the chance of picking up all that ‘expertise’ via a ‘Clinton II’ presidency and try the new guy.”
