Trump Raid Gets Mixed Reviews While Venezuelans at Home, in Exile Around the World Praise his Action

Commentary

In my last edition, I wrote about those who do a lot of talking versus the doers who are action oriented.

I am always mystified by “talkers,” aka bloviators, in the public sphere who   seem to be oblivious to the digital world in which they operate.  They make outrageous statements that are frequently contrary to earlier recorded remarks.… read more

“Ahhhh, there’s good news tonight.”

Commentary

I know, lately I have been letting my age creep into my commentaries with references to people no longer in the news.  A few days ago, foreseeing an economic boom in 2026, I wrote of Al Jolson, known for his line, “you ain’t heard nothin’ yet.”

HEATER

When I saw the headline, “CNN shares breaking news alert and it’s good news for Trump,” my memory went back to Gabriel Heater, the Mutual News broadcaster in the1940s who opened his newscasts with the phrase “there’s good news tonight,” often prefaced with a warm “ahhhh.”read more

“You Ain’t Heard Nothin’ Yet”

Commentary

Listening to President Trump’s address from the White House in which he predicted an economic boom in 2026, I was reminded of the Al Jolson-Gus Kahn song of the 1950s – “You Ain’t Heard Nothin’ Yet.”

Trump to Put His Presidential Mark on Definition of Affordability

Commentary

I closed my last edition mentioning that Democrats are going to repeatedly use the word “affordability” in their messaging, but if it’s like their use of the word “democracy” which they overused in 2024, we can imagine that it will not include solutions from their side.

Democrats seem to believe that their mere use of the word affordability alone will help them in their ill-advised attempt to attack President Trump on the economy, but people want lower prices, not more hits on Trump.… read more

I’m Back at the Keyboard Again

Commentary

I know, it’s been a while since I’ve published a commentary.  Chalk it up to a medical situation and, of course, Thanksgiving.  It doesn’t mean that I haven’t been piling notes on my stack of stuff.

However, before I give you my thoughts on those notes, I would be remiss if I didn’t recognize the milestone day in American history that this edition will appear in my readers’ inbox – December 7, 1941, the day the Japanese attacked our naval forces in Pearl Harbor.… read more

Six Democrat Trump-Haters Make Fools of Themselves in Social Media Video

Commentary

Trump haters have found another means to make fools of themselves, forgetting that he won the election with an overwhelming majority despite their years of unsuccessful attempts to deny him the presidency.

Shamefully, six Democrat lawmakers with military and intelligence backgrounds released a one-minute video urging service members to “refuse illegal orders.” … read more
