An Obama, Hillary Retread Now Dragging Biden Down

Commentary

“Unlike the policy of the last few years (the Trump era), we will be able to rally the rest of the world behind us on key foreign policy and national security issues.” – Jake Sullivan, November 2020

Along with the criticism of President Biden’s botched withdrawal of Afghanistan, comes questions of the advice provided him by Secretary of State Blinken, National Security advisor Sullivan and Generals Austin and Milley.read more

Biden Supporters Beginning to Realize They Screwed Up and the Chickens Have Come Home to Roost

Commentary

As I read remarks critical of President Biden’s Afghan withdrawal failure, now by Democrats and the leftist media, I recalled the red flags about his Washington experience raised during the 2020 presidential campaign.

“For millions of Americans, Mr. Biden was the closest thing to a conventional, confidence-inspiring authority figure in the 2020 race next to Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Donald Trump,” wrote Wall Street Journal columnist Holman W.read more

Biden’s ‘Equity’ Agenda Divides Us by Race

NOTE: In my last blog, I wrote of President Biden’s botching of the Afghan withdrawal, relating it to his decades of foreign policy failures.  Since we are now getting 24/7 reporting on the situation in Afghanistan, I have decided to comment on another topic high on his agenda … equity.

Commentary

On President Biden’s first day in office, among that stack of executive orders on his desk was his policy outlining a comprehensive approach to advancing equity for all, including people of color and others who have been historically underserved, marginalized, and adversely affected by persistent poverty and inequality.… read more

No Surprise, Biden Botches Afghan Withdrawal; Blames Trump

Commentary

“I think he (Biden) has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades,” – former Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

That was hardly what candidate Joe Biden wanted to hear from someone as distinguished as Gates going into his campaign.  But as a longtime member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, including a stint as its chair, and his eight-years as vice president under Barack Obama, his role was seen as insignificant.… read more

“America went from the freest country in the world in December 2019 to a repressive and frightening place by July 2021.  How did that happen?

Victor Davis Hanson, American Greatness, July 18, 2021

THOSE BIDEN JOBS CLAIMS – You’ve heard them, and questioned them as I have, I’m sure.  Well, now some in the media are beginning to take a close look at those numbers.  “Biden Keeps Making the Same Dubious Jobs Claim,” was the headline on the Daily Caller’s analysis.

“We’re now the first administration in history to add jobs every single month in our six months in office, and the only one in history to add more than four million jobs during the first six months,” said Biden

The official government data shows that between January and June 2021, the number of employed Americans rose from 142.7 million to 145.8 million, a gain of just over 3 million.… read more

WHAT DID YOU EXPECT when a reporter asked President Biden about New York Governor Cuomo’s resignation?

“He’s done a hell of a job … on everything from access to voting to infrastructure to a whole range of things.  That’s why it’s so sad,” he responded.

Notice how he skirted the two key charges against Cuomo … sexual harassment and his failure to properly address the Covid-19 pandemic, despite touting his leadership effort in a book. … read more

PET ROCK OWNERS BEWARE – If you are a known owner of a collectible pet rock purchased on a whim in the 1970s, there soon may be someone knocking on your door to confiscate it.

MOVING THE 70-TON ROCK

It occurred to me as I read the story of the University of Wisconsin paying $50,000 to have a 70-ton rock, that had become known as Chamberlin Rock, removed from the campus.… read more

Joe Biden, Venture Capitalist

Commentary

I recently commented on President Biden’s August 5, 2021 signing of an executive order outlining his target of 50 percent electric vehicle sales share in 2030.

The title, provided by the White House: President Biden Announces Steps to Drive American Leadership Forward on Clean Cars and Trucks (emphasis is mine) couldn’t be clearer, as the order outlines the investment in the infrastructure, manufacturing, and incentives needed to lead on electric vehicles around the world.… read more
